Hello mmobay. On Monday night (7/12/10), I purchased an 80 mage account from Droodood for $30 dollars. The transaction went smoothly. On Tuesday, I ordered a powerleveling service for herbalism from people located in California, which also went smoothly (no, I did not do any rookie mistakes such as logging in while they are leveling, or logging in immediately before/after the job was finished).

On Wednesday morning, I received an email from Blizzard stating that the account would be closed for the reason of "Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy". Now, I have not even purchased or sold anything on this character in-game or out-of-game, except for the herbalism powerleveling. This leads me to strongly believe that the "bannable" actions occurred before I was sold the account. I have opened a Paypal dispute to retrieve my 30 dollars back.

Also, I would like to say, on an interesting note... I sent the Paypal payment to the address [email protected]. And if you search through the mmobay forums, you will see that another mmobay user (Goledist) has that exact email, and uses a different AIM (Bamfistake) than the AIM that I was in contact with (Droodood's AIM was nevertall). I did not find this out til after the trade was made.

I cannot get in contact with him via AIM atm, so I decided to make this post first and hope to work this out with him.

Well I can't say 100% it was due to Droodood, but he is a confirmed scammer and all his accounts have been banned.
