Approximate value of item/service: $1.100 USD (but he wanted to buy it for 1.300$, because he didn't want to use a middleman which is imo, very sus)

Date the problem began: 06/06/2023

Describe the problem:

He wanted to scam me, he came to me saying he had a lot of positive reviews so I should have trusted him by giving him my account first then he would have sent me money. I asked couple time to use a middleman, but he was always saying that it takes too much time to secure it so he doesnt want to.

In the end he said that we would give me the money first but he made a "handmade proof" by changing the font of the paypal USD number. He tried to trick me with inspect element too (where people edit the page). I was very friendly and patient with him, I wanted to use a legit middleman but in the end he didnt want to. I assume he wanted to scam me, even with that amount of positive reviews (which is something he was bringing back all the time, because he wanted me to trust him).

Same user came to me with the same offer of 1.3 k for my epic7 account for which I'm asking 1.1k. I was very busy so we didn't got though with it and promised to get back to him later. I hope this is all a misunderstanding though, since has so many positive reviews. Later on I did a search about scam here and this post came up.

I hope too, but I don't know, faking a transfer is very wrong to do, if I didn't saw the font modification and give my account, I probably would have been scammed. But I would have waited for the money to go on my account first anyway.
