Today we have made an update to chat that removes the smilie menu and adds a new reaction menu to any message you receive. This was one of the top requests we received recently as it seems the old smilie menu was just too slow.
On PC you will see a reaction icon on the right side when you hover over any received message. You can click that to select from a number of reactions.
On mobile, you have to click the message first and that will display the reaction icon. You can then click it to for a quick thumbs up or click/hold for additional reactions.
