Provide information about the dispute and what lead to it: Was contacted by a member on this site after he noticed I wanted to buy Wildstar Beta key, he asked to add him on skype.
After doing so, I offered him $50 for what i thought was a stress key for this weekend. He took the offer and I transfered $50 USD to him via paypal. He then said he was emailing the key then loged off, I have not spoken to him since nor i have got the beta key.

I made a dispute on paypal and he now has counteracted my claim saying I got the key, used it and didn't like the game so I am no scamming him! Im not sure how this is possible when I made the claim before this weekend so I wouldn't have even been able to play the game.

Did you do any background searching before the transaction? Yes / No (optional) I just checked contacts on skype etc, seemed like a well used skype account, paypal had he RL name etc.. i guess i was stupid

I am just after support for why this member was banned from the site, Due to him saying im the scammer on paypal I am trying to gather all proof I can that he was the one scamming

Canknucklehead is a well known scammer of fake wildstar beta keys unfortunately there is no way we can help with paypal. From what I have noticed with paypal is they do not support virtual goods so hopefully you are still safe

Yep, I understand you cant help with paypal, I have just posted this thread in hopes I can use it for evidence the user I had the transaction with was a scammer and banned for doing so.

Either way I was very stupid to take the risk, and if i lose $50 for it.. it was a lesson learnt.. just a costly one

****UPDATE****


Canknucklehead tried saying via paypal that I was the scammer as i rec the key and used it.


PAYPAL voted in my favor and was returned the money today, just wanted to update you since it seems they do cover virtual goods to some degree.
