I have a Dell G7. It cost e $1099 from Best Buy. I can play most games at close to max settings. It has bee great the past few months.

I have an hp omen 15. It plays games well but everything else is terrible. It takes for ever to start up up and start some programs. Chrome on it is absolute garbage because its windows 10. Guaranteed chrome will freeze and lock up at least once per use. It retails for 1000. Maybe a ram upgrade and ssd would make a big difference. But games run smoove and fast, back lit keyboard is great.

Have you tried installing SSD on it? It makes a huge difference. I had a laptop from 2010 and it's HDD died. Now with a fresh SSD it runs smoothly and loads everything pretty fast. =)
