Attention Buyers~

As someone new to Markee Dragon, I have sold 3 accounts here already. I had extra accounts because me and my brothers used to all play WoW. But they all quit, and the accounts were all under my name because I bought the CDs. So recently, I decided to quit and sell the accounts here on Markee Dragon. I'm here to share my experiences with you.

WoW is a virtual goods in the eyes of PayPal. Now what that means is there is no proof or guarantee of the safety of the transactions at all. I know that lots of sellers and buyers prefer PayPal thinking it is safe, but its not. Throughout the 3 accounts I have tried to sell, I have been charge backed 9 times by verified, good reputation PayPal users.

Do you know why they do this? Because they figure that good PayPal or eBay feedback will work in their favor when they attempt to charge back,..... and it does exactly that. Within 15 mins of me giving the account info to every single PayPal users, they charge back the money, and WON the claims. So they toke back their money and attempted to steal my accounts...little did they know, the original owner can always get it back.

But what passively happens through this scam process, is Blizzard picks up this activity and wonders whats going on, putting the WoW account at risk of closure. So what ends up happening here is after 2 scam attempts, Blizzard moves in and closes the account, and yes, this has happened to me, I speak from experience. Then what happens if you have to send all your personal information in to Blizzard, and hope they show a kind heart and restore it in your favor, if not, your account is permanently closed.

Why am I telling this to people here? The answer is simple, I do not want honest people, like me, being cheated of their hard earned IRL money. The people who run scams, are scumbags, do not believe anything they say. Do not give out any information AT ALL about your account before you sell it. Sell by YOUR terms, do not give out any information to the people on AIM nor trust anything they say. Keep in mind that they can easily change their AIM username, and ask you for more info. By putting this info together slowly and bit by bit, from different AIM names, they can build a solid case against you and steal your account.

The safest way, really comes down to Western Union through my opinion. Now sure lots of people are skeptical about WU, saying that there is no guarantee, and that its not safe. Well I challenge that and say it is the same. When it comes to virtual goods, PayPal always sides with the money sender. So with that being said, what difference does it make. If either wants to rip you off, they can do it and get away with it. But at least through WU, that option of charge back is eliminated. In both scenarios, the step to sell is a big leap of faith.

If people do not want to buy your auction via WU, thats fine. Your not forcing anyone to buy it, ultimately, its their choice to buy it or not. So beware of people's intentions and do not be quick to buy into their attempts to scam.

Once again I write this to protect the honest people who think PayPal is the safest way to do online transactions. When it comes to virtual goods (WoW), PayPal does nothing. They simply return the buyers money and leave you without a account.

So be careful boys and girls. Its not just Markee, its just online virtual goods sales. I am by no means insulting Markee, as they provide a good environment for these things.

Good Luck. Please keep bumping this for new comers to see and be aware.

Your rep with paypal and ebay has nothing to do with whether or not you win a claim.

Jesus christ himself would not win an "unauthorized paypal transaction dispute"

Eh, I have won a couple of those, but usually I just dont do business with people whose paypal address doesn't match their phone number geographically. If it does match, and then they do the unauthorized transaction, then they would have originated the transaction from their home "zone" and as such, paypal will not reverse the charges. If you take the time to learn any system, they all have checks and balances and you can make those work for you if you take the time and use them wisely.

So they should only deal with the people who already have rep - preventing anyone else who might actually be legitimate to attain any positive rep their self.

There is a huge gaping flaw in that statement.
