This guy seemed trustworthy at first since he had 4 positive rep and seemed like a very nice guy. I traded him my rogue for his mage. He told me he was getting bored of his rogue and I told him I couldn't do anything about it because we already traded and he decided to recall one day making crap up like I was scamming him.

And now he is on my mage telling my guild members how I tried to steal his rogue yet he recalls his account on me and leaves me with 30 copper on my rogue.

let me make a few things known right now before he BSs some more, the account WAS NEVER HIS
we made a agreement that because i didn't have the SQ/A (although i have had the account since early 60) becasue i had lost it, that he would play my mage and i would play his rogue, he said he needed a mage for his guild

as it says above i was getting emails from blizzard (since the account was still MINE and in my email), saying that he was updating all of the contact info on the account. Then i receive a email from blizzard stating "The information you supplied has been added to our own." at this point i tried to contact him, he wasn't online to clear up the matter as to what exactly he was doing with my account.
I had waited a couple hours for him, no reply, so i went ahead and temp changed the pw on the account (so nothing could happen to it / him transfer it off the account)
later on i get a message from him stating pretty much the above, i attemp to call blizzard and there were closed.
i come back to my computer getting threats from him saying

- i used glider on that account and im going to get it banned.
- some of his RL friends on the server start spam messaging me w/ verbal threats.

after i had planed on contacting blizzard, to clear up the issue i was goign to give him the account back... but being the 12 year old child he is he put me on ignore on aim, and i attempted to get ahold of of him through one of his friends in game but i still got no response....

now i find out this kid is giving me a negative feedback for him attempting to change my account info on MY account.

and to clear things up even more. HE has his account (the one we originally traded for in his possession now aswell.)

Yeah more like you're finding a reason to recall the account. I hear changing the email address from a Canadian zip code to a US zip code in order for me to pay for WoW is called changing the contact info.

And you honestly think that "The information you supplied has been added to our own." is your account getting reported? That seriously has to be a joke.

And do you know why I put you on ignore? Gee.... let me see, you ignore me on aim yet you're on my mage in WoW and my rogue has 0 gold as well. My friends message you and you tell them I stole your rogue. Hmm.... not suspicious enough? Yeah right buddy don't even go there

Oh hey this also! I got the mage 20+ pieces of gear while you got my rogue 3 pieces of gear. Anyone find a reason why he would want to recall? And yeah thanks I'm in possession of my rogue which has 30 copper while you take the mage's gold along with yours. Mmm that's real nice

Bumping this since the guy never got punished. I don't have any proof of screenshots since I reformatted to windows 7 but its pretty obvious that this guy just made an excuse to take his mage back after I geared it. The whole "The information you supplied has been added to our own." as his reason to recall the mage is BS because all I did was report a guy.

As Mordred stated, no need to bump the scammer thread.

M00nkin, since you traded the mage for the rogue, you forfeited the rights to "your own" account. Meaning, Shinimori is the new owner of the account, and has the freedom to change the password/contact details/play the account. If you were uncomfortable with trading an account that you did not know the information of to recall should the need arise, you should have not traded at all.

I am escalating the issue with a verdict as to what will be requested.

A summary of events:

That part could be partially true but I know that he made up the excuse of being scared that I'm stealing both accounts because I accidentally linked him my armory one day in a friendly conversation and he was telling me how he was bored of the rogue and wanted to trade back but I said no to that. Sadly I don't have chat logs anymore as I reformatted and lost all my aim logs.

That's fine. I only included his own reason for recalling the account - which, in my own experience, is not a valid claim to recall. It's just a quick summary of everything. But thanks for the information

Seeing how this is over a year old, there is nothing we can do. Next time, make sure that your scam accusation gets taken care of. Meaning if none of the moderators respond, message them on AIM, email one of us, etc. Waiting for prolonged periods of time doesn't help you.
