a question, what if the acct got banned after i purchased?

so yea here's the case, i bought an acct 5 days ago, still on the old users credit card till end of this month, i did nothing on this new acct, did not hunt, did not farm, did not lvl, did not sell gold...didnt do anything basically, and i found out the acct got banned because "Access to this account has been permanently disabled for exploitation of the World of Warcraft economy or for being associated to accounts which have been closed for intended exploitation. "

either the acct sold gold before i got it, or the credit card thats on the acct paid for other accts which was banned.

so, what I do now? let it go? charge back on paypal? need a lil help. thanks

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to unban the account, and Blizz wont' distribute any information on it.


I had the same reason banned for me, on my account, and it wasn't botted/farmed/pled or anything, how ever I did let my friend log in on it.

Part of the problem could be that there where multiple IP locations on it, so they consider it PLing and ban.

Account sharing is a violat of the TOS so is buying, so your best bet is to A. Talk to the person, and if you decide that they scammed you, then refund the money, otherwise Tough luck /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

yes my IP did log on the acct, I did not give the info to anybody else, and I did no get ANY experience on the toon so Blizzard cant really accuse me for PL.. at most a 3 days ban for share acct...I think its the old user's credit card's problem, but I cant be sure

cant think of any other reason for the baning other than the credit card. should i file a charge back for buying a flawed acc? =/

Seems like you got shafted buddy. If it was your Ip that got the account banned then taking your money back is like scamming. i would leave it alone if i was you. seems only logical course.

but none of my other accts got banned? how did I associated to accounts which have been closed for intended exploitation? I did not even hunt on the toon, did not mail anything or trade anything with any other player in game. Made NO contact with ANY other accounts. Also this is the first ban ever happened to me and my IP, other accts are still good/legit. It might be the credit card on this specific acct?

My account was just banned yesterday for the same reason, and i traded with jedimatt, but im not sure if he has anything to do with this or not

I had a 70 hunter, and 61 rogue on the same account just banned /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

after talkinf to ^^^TehKozak I decided to file chargeback, obviously both of us dealt with guy, both accts got banned. Same server, his toon got wisper from the toon I bought, that person offered him this toon I bought this toon... so obviously those 2 toons had same owner...etc...

decision made, thanks TehKozak.
