So I consider myself a very safe traded, always create a new account and xfer the toons to a new account after the email is changed ect.

Today I recieve a total of 9 emails between 5 different email accounts saying 8 accounts are closed and 1 banned. Obviously the 1 banned is the one this all originated from. Heres the thing, they all have different emails, different account names, contact information, and most havent even had my cc on them ever.

The 8 closed ones require the notorized ID to get back and the 1 banned says it will not be re-opened under any circumstances.

It cant be credit card linking them. It cant be IP linking them as I have not or do not play most of these, some accounts are only attached to 1 email so there should be no link there.

So ideas suggestions please share, because this is a very strange situation. I've had scammers dispute accounts before in feeble attempts at recall but something this big leads me to believe its something much bigger.

Any input is appreciated.

So far nobody I've traded with has told me their stuff was closed and hopefully it stays that way.

Bad luck?

Maybe blizzard used all that money and bought the internet...they can see everything you do

run

I considered IP, but as I said I havent logged on most these accounts since I got them, some friends play at will and they keep them active for example. Others have been inactive for months, and prior to that I didnt play it.

thats exploitation of economy. its only your ip, and the same e-mail and contact info on the account. get a new ip or isp

which first name did you use to create the "transfer to" account? your first name or first name of original account? i traded my account with someone else and i did the same thing you did and it was fine for a wk or 2. then i traded it with someone else and it got banned like about 3-7 days later (i did character search on the server and it said "player not found". it's not xfered b/c i just used the xfer like 2 wks prior). ALSO, another reason my got banned is PROBABLY b/c i traded my gold for the original and xpansion key with the guys on here. who knows where they get the keys from, but it doesnt seem legit (key generator?).

here's my tip though. if you're going to change the traded account info, only change email address and phone number(s). if you change home address and stuff that's obvious.

Whenever you tranfer a character it creates a transaction ID # that you can see in your "Paid Character Transfer" page under transactions in your Account Management on the World of WarCraft website.

This transaction ID# sticks onto the main account keeping the account it transfered to in the transaction description. This keeps a link between them. If you notice the accounts that you transfer it to also knows what date it can be transfered again.

There is no way to cut off a character from an account without any trace of it from Blizzard's eyes.

I keep 1st name exactly the same, the only account BANNED I did create using keys I recieved off markee though, and That is the most logical theory I've come across.

That makes sense, however the question I'm having is why would they connect xxx # of accounts and then stop, because if it was every email, cc transaction, ip, or whatever variation I would have lost over 20 accounts.

Most likely whatever criteria they have, they've not gone through the whole list of your accounts and banned them yet. Willing to bet you may see more later on.

there you go! i don't think keys that you traded gold for are legit.

Note to self: NEVER to get keys that aren't from original game packages (that you actually bought in stores).

I personally don't think Blizzard look at million of accounts subscribed credit card(s). they may only look at it when the owner contact them and so on. a few of my accounts doesnt have my CC on them. my friend took over 1 of my 3 accounts and his CC is on the account and he's been playing it for 3 months now. unless Blizzard werent that smart 3 months ago.
