You can get banned for just sharing your account to your friend, but there is no real way to prove it unless owner of account posts a ticket, because owner can just say that he flew to another country to his grandma and decided to play some hearthstone there.
Yeah, I understand people don't want to get the cards themselves and all but with battle.net accounts it's linked to your real name and your ID is used in recovering/securing an account so if the account you have is in your name it doesn't make much sense unless you are really trading up IMO. And the reason people sell anything is for money.
Some people want the cards that they think are pretty valuable to them and with new cards being added, it's really hard to get them nowadays.

X person wants Yveltal
Y person wants Xerneas
X and Y trade.
If you want to get some real money from an Hearthstone account, you'll need to have some goods, something like a full gold cards account or a really high amount of powder/gold.
