What happens in this scenario?

Seller and buyer use a middleman to do the work , the buyer pays the middleman and the seller delivers the product exactly as promised but then the buyer lies that he didnt receive anything or he didnt receive what was promised , in this case wouldnt this get seller into trouble while buyer will lose nothing? is there a solution to this problem? middleman seems to bring the seller into a disadvantage in the trade.

Middleman usually takes the account from the seller. Checks it out and usually does a recovery (for example steam) and check if everything is okay. With the permission from the seller he would usually change the info and say to the buyer than he can send the money to the seller. After seller receives the money the middleman delivers the login info for the buyer to change.

to add on to this, some mm's do login to accounts to confirm everything is good but i know some don't. so if that's a concern, worth finding one that does to have some more assurance
