What are epic credits??

I have 103 of them from being a past user and account seller. I have no idea what epic credits are and what they can be used for so was looking for some insight. When I click on them it says I can transfer them to my Paypal account... does that mean they are worth money? Thanks.

Credits are used in our store to buy account upgrades
