I am new to buying accounts. What are common scams or red flags that I should consider when looking to purchase?

1. Buy from only trusted sellers
2. Check Review
3. Use MM(if 0 reviews)
4. Take personal ID photo after deal
5. do not transfer money to the first sellers without reviews

you can play any server you wanna play. account region is just telling where te account was created. no need to wory about region because battle net will connect to your server automatically. if you're playing on EU server with Korean Japanese or whatever asian or SEA account, you will be fine. there is no region locked in this game.

btw, most impportantly, account region is designed to support about payment method or ingame purchasing. for example, only russian account will not be able to purchase coin & token through Paypal.

You can still change Region or contact support in future by using info from card of original owner

That is why i reccommend to buy account that seller provide OG card

 

if you're buyer
1. asking about ID card and contact about oiriginal owner from seller

2. beware fake real ID (account registered witg fake name) because account real ID can be changed all the time on bartle net website and you will never knew if it's really fake name. so, you will never knew where the account come from.eventually, this could cause account recovery problem from original owner in future

3. use midman tradeguardian service on website. pay a bit fee to midman to avoid scammer
