Well I bought an account from Ptown about 8 days ago, and the account was great, it was a bargain, loved the characters, I changed the phone number on the 5th day I had it, but they asked me the "Birthday" associated with the account when I tried to change the e-mail, which I didn't know, and simply unplugged the landline. So I waited 3 days, and the account is recalled by someone, this was yesterday. Today I spent most of the day looking for info etc and trying to get the account, or find out how to get a refund. I filed a paypal claim at noon today just as a safety net so I don't get screwed when this occurs. Ptown and I had some moral disagreements, and he denied me a refund.
So finally, I contacted the original owner, he says that he never gave/sold the account to anyone. He went out of the country on a business trip, and when he returned, the password was changed. Therefore, the account was stolen. At least, thats what it looks like from the information I have. Now I don't know what to do? Continue with the paypal claim, stating that it was stolen goods, drop it and leave, or try to coerce the owner into "giving it to me". I already feel horrible for filing the claim, Ptown was a nice guy and all, but I got screwed hardcore here...

take your money back you dident receive what you payed for and if it got recalled thats called scamming you can legally sell whats not yours if paypal sides with him get a chargeback from your cc company

all in all ptown is a nice and cool guy he just needs to sell accounts that are ACTUALLY his

Thanks for quick reply, but I didn't pay with credit card, paid with account funds. :x.... but at the same time, he didn't know it was stolen. I would like just a refund, and for the record, the owner just changed the phone and email back to the originals, and it didn't matter that I changed them... According to him, its likely that it was a friend of his that he left the account with, and just knew his Secret Answer out of common knowledge... I hate this situation.

Grr.. I hate this place.
I got scammed 3 times since friday, all the deals I made a week ago, and thought worked fine are falling apart. I just lost about $420 in 2 days... Oh, and he said it was my fault because I didn't change the e-mail on the account, this would have somehow "Stopped the OO from recalling"... And my negative was magically removed while his stays???

Get trustwho btw You could have changed the email BUT the OO could have had cd key and that overules the SQA so imo just try your best to win the dispute or try to figure it out with Ptown
