I posted a thread for buying a Sims 4/Origin account, which contained my Discord as contact info. I was messaged by someone on the account named Kaleboa#1481 in which they said they had an account for sale, with a bunch of expansions and such. They provided one screen shot of the games on the account. They wanted $100 USD for it, but I had a list of Steam game keys that I was offering as a trade, so we came to an agreement, game keys for the Origin account. They picked 8 keys, and wanted a $20 difference, which I was fine with, and so I sent $20 over Paypal, and presented them with the game keys so they could check them. I share a key list with my brother, and we periodically add to it or sell games off of it, so I warned the person that some of the keys may be redeemed previously, and if we run into that problem, we can address it. Well they came back to me saying that the Metal Gear Solid game key that they chose was already redeemed. I said okay, and they said they wanted $50 instead, that all the other keys they chose added up to $30, and since that one didn't work, $50 would be the difference. I said okay, and paid them the $50 on Paypal that they were requesting. So my end of the deal was over.
They refused to give me the Origin log info that they promised.
They informed me that there was a hold on my Paypal payment, which is typical, since they were a new person I was paying, and they were overseas, and it would take a week or so to clear. I told them I will clear the payments for 'items received' upon receiving the information for the account I had purchased. They seemed very bothered by that, and refused to hold up their end of the bargain, saying I will get my game key once the payment clears, in a week. I said that's unfair, I gave them all they requested, game keys as well as payment, it's their turn to give me what I purchased. They still refused. We discussed the payment hold, and I said I will close the payment and open a dispute so I get my money back (eventually, Paypal takes forever), and I'll purchase them game keys for the Metal Gear Solid game that didn't supposedly work. They said they would prefer a basic Steam gift card. I opened a dispute, they agreed they would comply with the dispute so I can get a refund, and I purchased them a Steam gift card. I gave them the info for it, they waited 5 minutes, then came back claiming it didn't work and requesting a screen share to show me it didn't work. I noticed they have quite a bit of money in their steam wallet, but they showed me the card didn't work, and accused me of scamming them.
So they stole game keys from me, as well as a $50 steam gift card, and never gave me any info for an Origin/Sims 4 account. I am currently awaiting dispute with PayPal for the return of my $70 I sent them, but the $50 Steam card is gone, I can not get a refund on it, I contacted Steam and it was indeed redeemed less then 2 minutes after purchase, so it was in fact them, and they accused me of scamming them.
They actually ended up contacting me on a separate Discord account, and they began harassing me, asking me to sell them accounts that I own, asking me to sell them email addresses for Netflix, asking me to give them information. I didn't know it was them at the time, but later that evening, they messaged me on their Kaleboa#1481 account, telling me they will clear my money to be returned to me if I give them an email address. I called them out on it, and refused, they laughed at me and told me good luck getting your money back from PayPal and continued to harass me until they blocked me.
I have screenshots of the conversation in case anyone needs to see them to verify this, as well as Paypal screenshots and any other information that may be needed. Unfortunately I do not know their account name on here, since they messaged me solely on Discord, and they also seem to have multiple accounts, so be careful. Their PayPal account and name is Laura Johan - [email protected] even though they also may have other email accounts.
