I have a few questions and problems with the methods still
1. I already entered the First and Last name in cyrillic on epicnpc before the verifyyy app step. I didnt knew that it doesnt work with my usual passport. But now I cant change it to english letters. So now it will never verify me then? Because it must be english letters as I understand. And a problem with that the international passport still has cyrillic letters in it so why will it work?
2. If international passport doesnt work there is another issue , somehow I buy very fast the driver license its mostly cyrillic it wont work with even higher chance.
All this makes me and im sure hundred of other russian sellers very concerned that nothing will really work. Do you have any successful cases of russian seller being verified by international passport?

If you are looking for a fix for trustap I would open a new thread or use the contact us button to reach out to an admin. This verification change does not involve trustap.

Its sad to see the changes (i was always returning here, at least once a year or so), especially when such a large part of the community were against it (and according to your words - majority of the scammer are buyers, so how exactly would it change the situation with scammers is unclear). Glad i was able to finish my last deal be4 the grace period will end.
If youll ever revert that decision - please make a mass mailing to every1 registered to inform about it. Stay safe every1, it was a nice ride while it lasted <3

Majority of the scammers I have personally banned are sellers. Most buyer scams occur completely through discord as they do not create an account here and simply just search through the threads trying to add peoples discords. This will still effect buyer scammers as well (as some do make fake threads)just not as much as they tend to just do what I listed above.
This will stop a vast majority of seller scammers.

driver's license, international passport... Or we can only wait for them to accept our internal passport. I myself have neither one nor the other =) Protection from scammers may eventually lead to the fact that sellers with a 10-year history without a scam - cannot even pass verification according to the main document of his country.

30 days - minor changes since 27aug.
The older passports are not accepted. You can use the newer international passport or a drivers license.
Complete the process. If you're denied, you can contact support and try again.

The number of bans is not a significant tracking method.
Bans could increase or decrease with this change as it depends on if scammers continue to try and create accounts or not.
Scam always leads to ban.
If their number in this statistics is insignificant, then the reason for introducing verification as a countermeasure to them is inadequate.

Its insignificant as they are typically banned prior to ever attempting verification.
What the change is doing is stopping them from reaching the point of scamming.
Because verification is not required to boost feedback by buying\selling junk for a dollar.
Because verification is not required to convince a newbie seller to go first.
Doubt. The change only filters out low level scammers. They can be avoided by turning off brains autopilot.
If a scammer can spend ~$50 to get high feedback, then he can spend a little more on fake id or "buy a drink for a friend".
The change just added another minor expense to their list.

The only way for them to sell is by finding a buyer. They can’t create any buying/selling threads without being verified. Fake feedback tends to be caught fairly fast.
Even if they boost feedback they still do not have the ability to create threads to heavily abuse this.
Most bans for fake feedback happen after 1-2 feedbacks.
I do not know much of how well veriff catches fake IDs. However, I have seen quite a bit of bans from users/scammers attempting to use them. “Buying a friend a drink” would only last so long as I doubt these scammers have very many friends.

It's not worth arguing with them anymore. The only moderators who are aware that this can affect many users, the administrators don't pay attention. We have to wait and see how it goes, and if not, they can send a mass email for us to return. Right now I can put my ID but it has expired for 5 months and well, the administrator says that he doesn't want to accept expired IDs, which is kind of strange, because in other sites it doesn't matter if it's expired. They have already realized that many people do not agree, and several people have problems submitting their documentation through Veriff, as is my case, since I cannot because my ID card has expired. I do not believe that they are blind.

Its about zero. Yes. It can spot device screen or random numbers and other dumb and cheap attempts.
But something like this, printed and laminated will fool their system. If Binance cant catch it, then veriff cant catch it either. It will cost $5-50 + used printer and laminator.
By buying drinks I mean finding a local drunkard. Its not an epic quest.

Some countries are no longer able to receive SMS verification due to new laws. If you are not able to receive the code then there is nothing we can do, sorry.
I'm sorry, but at this time only Latin/English IDs are being accepted. If you're ID is in a different language, you will have to use another type.
For most countries we accept the following types of ID. However depending on your country, not all options are available.

@EpicNPC can you please check my ID card again, I'm sure you made a mistake when checking it or maybe it's a mistake from my phone camera, I don't know. I'm not using a fake ID, I don't even know how to get that. I can attest that security bars are not stickers like you said.

Is it possible that people with high reputation can go without verification? I have been here for years. I would prefer to remain an anonymous seller. I understand you want to limit scamming, but I also don't want to give out my information especially ID for safety reasons.
Please think about allowing aged account sellers with a decent reputation to sell again without having to verify ID!!! This would only benefit the website. We would have more listings, meaning more sales, in turn it could mean higher middleman usage. Its only a win! I don't see how this idea would be negative in any scenario.
