On Sept 27th we are going to start a 30 day grace period for members that are currently verified, but have not re-verified using the new system.

If you already recently Verified your account (since Aug 27) you do not need to do anything else and can ignore this announcement.

The following will occur on Friday, Sept 27th.

• If you are verified, but have not re-verified, the Verification badge will be removed from your account.
  • These members will not be able to create new threads, but their existing threads will remain and can be edited for 30 more days.
• For all non-verified members, all threads will be archived and no longer publicly visible.
  • Certain non-sale sections will be exempt (help, general discussion, dispute sections, etc.)
  • Sticky threads are also except until they expire.

Once the 30 day grace period ends on Oct 27th we will archive the remaining threads for all non-verified members.

Not even allowing already existing threads really sucks, not announcing that a month prior sucks even more, i could have least tried to lower the price on the item i've been trying to sell for a while now. What a waste of time and money i've put into this website membership, glows, sticky threads and all that crap. Very disappointed in your decision making.

Well It doesnt accept my Russian passport at all I tried 2 different phones with different cameras I tried whole 2 pages then just page with photo. It just doesnt work.

And I dont have drivers license so its just doomed for me then.

Very sad to loose 6 years of work to a broken app that apparently just doesnt work for russians

You have an older Russian passport which is not supported, the new passport is supported as well as a drivers license.

If Verification is required to create threads, I had assumed it was implied that non-verified members would have their threads eventually removed. If we do not remove them, then non-verified sellers would be able to continue to sell indefinitely. We cannot create such a large loophole for non-verified sellers.

Eventually all threads from non-verified members will be removed, but this will not happen at the 30 day mark. Most likely we'll do it in phases.

On Sept 27 we are removing threads from members that have never been verified. (phase 1)
On Oct 28 we are removing threads from old verified members who did not reverify (phase 2)

This requirement is only for sellers. ID verification is not required to be a member so we will still provide support if you use Trade Guardian or have questions.
