On the old markee dragon, they used to do something called "Member Awards"

Most Trusted Trader etc.... you can think of all sorts of things, just to give people on here something to work for to have a goal and a reason to spend time here aside buying / selling accounts, focus on turning this place into more of a community than a trading / marketplace, it will benefit a lot more in the long run, both financially and generally.

Just my 2 cents.
 
Revert the bumping rule to 5 threads max for the frontpage. Get rid of the Professional Reseller forum as it gets no traffic because of the positioning within the forum.

As far as general traffic, it is definitely down. I have not seen it as worse as it has been in the WoW forums since these past two weeks.
 
Generating traffic is always a top priority, so I will continue working on getting more.

I don't think the position of the Pro Reseller forum has anything to do with the lack of activity in it. Its next to the Powerlevling which is very active as well as the General Account and General buy/sell/trade forums. I think it's inactive because buyers aren't really interested in resellers. However I'm not against removing it either. I'll think it over.

I prefer 3 max threads over 5, it gives individual sellers more time for their threads to display.
 
Bring back the Top 10 Stats box at the bottom of the forum (or even at the top). It enables people to see what the newest posts are in a very quick manner.
 
that was removed for the purpose of speeding up the forum loading time. It pulls up a lot of stats on each page load and doesn't cache, so it it was causing high server loads during peak hrs.

You can click the "What's New" or "new posts" in the top left
 
Some people like to stream their games no matter what they are playing, personally I stream my wow/league play. Any chance of adding a livestream area to the site, basically could just be an area of the site with embedded live streams?
 
A live stream of games doesn't really fit with the site. People come here to buy/sell/trade accounts, not watch other people play games. So I'll have to say no to that one.

I did setup a Youtube channel though, right now there's only 3 videos which are basically tutorials on how to use the auction site.

I think MMOBay is still getting good traffic for buy/sell accounts but as far as power leveling services, I have seen a huge decline in MMOBay customers over the course of the past 6 months.

I'm not sure how much of your traffic goes into the forums but...
Analyzing the site's SEO I think the site would benefit from more first time visitors being funneled into the forums rather than the auction portion of the site.

I believe most first time visitors who are new to RMT in general don't realize there are forums and walk away when they only see auctions which are not generally not lazy person friendly

I would love to see the forums as more than a small button on the nav menu, maybe a description of the forums at least

If you take into account the fact that there have been more people that have played wow and quit than there are that currently hold subs it makes sense that most of them are new to mmos and RMT. I think this fact is grossly overlooked in general.

Speaking from personal experienced - I have never used the auction portion of this site and have no desire to. I would so much rather talk to my buyer directly on AIM to work something out before a price is decided on.

I believe this could generally produce more traffic in general with the right SEO guidance. If you want some free advice (I sell professional SEO) feel free to PM me :)

Nailed it.

When I look through my analytics, I get maybe 1-2 visitors from MMOBay per day, which is at an ALL TIME low.
 
Well what i have noticed is that is there really isn't a community here. Its just come and post your thread, wait for it to sell rinse and repeat. Other sites like ownedcore(MMowned), and codemplosion have a draw to their site. Like mmowned has tons of emulation, bots, model hacking, guides, exploits, etc etc and codemplosion has some ******* software. Im not saying we should do stuff like that since this site is not for breaking blizzard TOS which we are kind of doing but...maybe think of something that gives epicnpc a draw. Wether it be a members only bot developed by the community some type of emulation software or anything in general. When I come here 80% of the viewers are all looking at the wow buy and sell forums. Maybe offer rep to members that write guides, produce helpful software to people too.

This is very much a community here you just haven't been around long enough to see it.

As far as free rep you have to earn every single one. If you wrote a guide for wow why would i trust you any more, just stating your opinions and tricks for games doesnt make you a selling/trading guru.

EPICNPC has a draw... It's the number one place to buy sell and trade wow accounts :P

How about adding that WoW eu trading section, I dont see why the US categories are divided into Selling/Trading and the EU community just has Selling and in it there is no way you can find to trade your account. Back in the days I used to do alot of trading, buying and selling all the time isnt in every guy's pocket and being able to try out other classes changing ur gameplay is really something in this game. Lets not forget most people come here for WoW and not the other games so please try and focus more on this. When I think up for more stuff I will let you know.
 
The WoW EU section has never be separated for trading and buying/selling. THe WoW US trading has 800k posts and 750k post for buying/selling. In comparison EU trading & buying/selling has 185k. About a fourth of the total of just one of those forums.

We do have the WTB, WTS and WTT prefixes, so you can just click WTT and it will just show you only the trade posts, so that should make searching for trades much easier.

However it there's enough demand and people really want a separate trading forum for EU, I don't mind adding one.

Please Mike, add it :) if you see it doesnt have much attention or many topics etc then you can always delete it and go back to the one we are now.

I wanna make a suggestion. Let me explain it with an example. yesterday I made a deal with a user DiabloGoldItems, deal went really well. Today I was looking through the site and found out he got banned. I searched over to the scam section but didnt find a thread about him. Could you make a topic were you have a banned list and a small reason as to why they are banned?

Yeah at the top of the Original Post, on the left side under "thread tools" I think. The last option is "Mark as Sold"

I have a suggestion.

Instead of just having one forum titled "Scammers" I believe we need a dispute forum. The title of the forum can be misleading as many people accused are not actual scammers. This can harm their reputation is they see a legit sellers name and scammer close together. Just my thoughts, but I believe users found to resolve their disputes easily without a headache, or ones proven not to be a scammer should have their threads moved to a dispute section, and vice versa.

How does everyone feel on this?

we also need a way to block ip's and proxy ip's theres a way to make it so theyll get auto ban if they make an account off a proxy ip

I think it would be very interesting to see a forum based messaging system, kinda like how facebooks chat is designed (i actually don't use facebook). It would be convenient instead of using AIM or any other messaging software to message someone you can just speak to them straight, right here on the forums.
 
adding a virtual currency to the forum to buy wow gametime,accounts,veryfied,fancy nicks,awesome ranks,acces to private forums,people will buy those coins with real money like and trade inside the forum,also ppl will earn loyality points for being active,helpful in the forums or just for log in every day of the month/week,this will boost the traffic alot and will give u more money,something like a free to play marketing for the forums,excuse my bad english =) there are alot of rpg addons for vbulletin to do this.

So new threads will be created in the Active forum, them depending if they are resolved or not get moved to the appropriate forum. This way its clear to everyone.

I've seen a few auto-block IPs addons, but I've been hesitant to use any because they are server intensive and can block innocent ppl from time to time. Not sure if I want to use one.

An IM system would be nice, but I'm not sure if any exist. I'll look into it.

The mods and I discussed a virtual currency/shop before, where you can buy account perks and other things, but it lost in a vote. What does the community think about it?

Yes to the scammer section idea.
No to the IP block addons, requires a lot of tweaking and isn't too accurate.
Yes to the IM system idea or real time updates (mainly for PMs).
Yes to the store idea. Will help improve the community feeling and it should be fun! Link to the mod here.

I've been on forums in the past that have used the shop feature and its a nice feature. Also used a similar feature on some forums I used to run. :P There really isn't a negative side to it, just a nice fun little perk.

Obviously my vote for the scammers is yes, the shop yes, not sure on the IP blocker, sounds like it has its positives and negatives. I would also say yes to the real time messaging, as long as we can go back and view it. I know a lot do not keep history, so no one would have chat histories if they were scammed.

well they did the IP block on EGS and it helped with alot of the issues and required the people to get TWV but i refused to i was banned off EGS for them saying i was someone was funny cuz the person who they said i was is black and u could ask any1 here who knows me im white as a ghost LoL

Well, our current system works fine. It could be better but we know if a previous banned user is on another account using the same ip.

The only issue I have with the current way of getting rid of previous banned people is that if they use a proxy or get on some other way while no mods are on then they can scam a person or two before the new account they made gets banned.

But yet there was a time when mike didnt even realize someone was a prev banned member he got Epicnpc verified and everything.....
