AtlantisLOM banned

AtlantisLOM
[email protected]
Pegasus2001
[email protected]

Unfortunately, this is not the case as you can see above. Their registration email for AtlantisLOM was [email protected]. They were not connected via IP. 0 IP matches.

If they were the same e-mails it would have triggered an alert which would have halted the process. Unfortunately, [email protected] isn't the same as [email protected].

While they are similar, the MM handling your trade would have no way of connecting the two as they would be searching for [email protected], and not [email protected]

When searching [email protected], it leads to no accounts or any posts containing that email.

The Pegasus dispute and the original AtlantisLOM threads were 9 months apart. If someone were to link us to that dispute and report it, we could have taken immediate action upon seeing the similarities.

Is that really true? The seller @AtlantisLOM mentioned numerous time that they had contact with epicnpc and that Delac was their friend.

Also to be mentioned that this is just one trade, and adrianbitica was mentioned. I wish to know that the email really did never get mentioned once. Even so, it's not our job to moderate, and the fact that you took 1+ year to find this individual, leading to three of us to get scammed leaves me in shambles.

I will try to re-coup the money within 60 days to pay @jasonkid1711 , however, it should be noted that your service has been atrocious by all means, and @Delac did an awful job supervising trades. The fact that he probably did who knows maybe 10+ trades with this user and never realized something fishy or did any research is mind-boggling to me.

Either fix your trade guardians to be more strict, or remove the feature as it clearly does not prevent scams on this website. In fact, makes them easier considering using trade guardian means 0 protection for me, as a re-seller of an account, which I clearly stated I was not the original owner.

Go check the other trades, see if they really have nothing in common, or if he never mentioned an email that matches by any means.

ALSO not to mention that your job was not done properly on the last scam report mentioned. YOU failed to ask the buyer for a proper Paypal email or payment proof, which in end resulted into us getting scammed as his email could've very well been [email protected] for Paypal.

Please do better in the future to properly find all available information of a scammer instead of leaving people liable to issues that might come later.

I am deeply saddened that @AtlantisLOM was allowed to be on this platform for so many years scamming users and actually not being banned even after @Distortred_Alice had made a scam report which show cased his name adrian bitica.
Dispute Sept 2021 - The account was banned and the reason provided by BDO support was for 'buying/selling accounts'. That is a risk that the buyer and seller both accept, so there was no need to issue a ban against AtlantisLOM.

None of this would have happened had better measures been taken or more moderation to be seen. The user probably had his email as adrianbitica probably even on the website and that didn't raise any red flags.
I would love to have godly powers where we can determine if someone was previously banned or a scammer based on little or no information, but that's not how it works.

Unfortunately everyone wants privacy and anonymity online and the way things are going with browsers and mobile phones, it's becoming more and more difficult to track people online. This means our ability to stop and catch previously banned users becomes harder.

They are the ones that got the individual banned considering they hated scammers. I will not leak who it is you are more than welcome to slide in my personal messages to see for yourself EPICNPC team.

@EpicNPC CM clearly posted his email "[email protected]"

in fact, everyone had been part of that dispute. Including angel and epicnpc CM and not one of them saw the similarities to investigate when @Distortred_Alice posted a new scam report?

You can clearly see that both have the same discord "PAPI" They are also a few months apart due to note that, however, there should be a point where discord should've been asked for ID and discord # wise, which both had not been done showing negligence.

Info we had for AtlantisLOM at the time of your Trade Guardian transition with him.
my paypal mail is : [email protected]

There is no matching data between these accounts. This includes email, IP and other data.

Our system does not check partial matching emails otherwise we would have 100+ alerts per day or more. This would require staff members doing nothing else but checking partially matching email addresses and accounts. This is not logistically possible.

However you also knew the email [email protected] because it was posted in your Trade Guardian transaction with AtlantisLOM. You were the buyer. Are you not negligent yourself for failing to check the partial match? Had you checked the partial email in Google (adrianbitica), you would have also found the old scam report.

But you didn't do that because checking partial emails isn't practical. You don't know how many characters to check or if you'll get too many results. Most of the time you'll get poor search results that will not help.

----
There are 2 options.

1. We become a closed marketplace. ID verification and bank accounts will have to be required for all sellers.
2. We stay a free and open marketplace and do the best we can trying to track scammers and previously banned members.

I want to say something about this as I know what most other open marketplaces do in terms of security. EpicNPC does more to track and block known scammers than any other open marketplace in this industry. Not by a little, but a lot, it's not even close when you compare our security features to any of our competitors. A huge chuck of our revenue goes to these security systems. If we didn't care about our communities safety, we would simply remove them and instantly increase profits by a considerable amount.

Could this have been prevented? I don't think so, probably by luck only if a mod or MM had a hunch, randomly did a partial search and happen to guess the correct amount of characters needed. There is no automated system that could have caught this because no data matched.

Checking partial matches is not possible. For both technical reasons and logistics reasons.

When we see a failure in our system, we make changes. I don't see anything we could change, adjust or add that would have helped in this case.

Banned - slander
Hello. The request was yesterday before we chatted for the payment.

To add
The proof I needed to send was provided to you in dms regarding the other discord that PAPY is using. He has now deleted the messages from that discord as well.

You can contact the user offsite as you should have their contact information. You can update here once everything is resolved and we can consider an unban at that time.

Due to false attacks he making against Epicnpc, he was banned.
