Someone scammed me on discord

I was trying to buy a pc pink mercy account and i was recently scammed by this person named "Hellish v.2"
He scammed me $160 on paypal when he asked me to make the payment as friends and family and he refuses to respond.. he couldn't even sell me the account because i did my research, and the account he was trying to "sell" me was already sold on this site.. That's why i ask sellers to send me recent screenshots of their accounts bc i dont want to be scammed..

That isn’t my discord or my PayPal. I put a blurb in my profile, tons of people have been scammed or had a scam attempted against them. People that message me here to verify have avoided it. Sorry you did not. That is in fact NOT me.

He linked you to my actual profile but you didn’t message me to confirm on this site or I would have responded and told you that wasn’t me. My discord is Hellish#8086. Sorry this has happened, I made the admins aware of someone using my identity and epic told me to put that blurb in my signature. As you can see, you messaged me and I got an email notification and got right on. Sorry again this has happened, post the discord tag and his PayPal so people know for future reference.

I did post his discord and paypal. And im so sorry people try to impersonate as you and they scam others... you are so kind and yeah I'm pretty bummed out that i got scammed $160..

Ya, I’m not sure what to do. I don’t deal on here so maybe closing my account will show people if he does link them, that I’m not active. But, I also can’t reply to people I’d they are being scammed to tell them it isn’t me. I’m kind of powerless in this.

He just messaged me for the first time saying he started a dispute, unfortunately some impersonator got ahold of him on discord but he never verified on here to see if it was legit.

@sweetmochi99 did you reach out to @Hellish v.2 or did he reach out to you, didn’t see the entire chat.

I didn't reach out to him, an impersonator messaged me on discord trying to sell me an account and I fell for the trap and paid the scammer $160 and the scammer hasn't responded.. But this hellish v2 that's talking to us right now is innocent. Someone was impersonating as him and they're scamming me and other users i bet.

Given all the evidence provided here, you were likely contacted by an off site scammer impersonating @Hellish v.2. Since no confirmation or any kind of communication was made on EpicNPC, there is no way of knowing for sure who you were talking to on Discord. In the future I’d recommend staying on site when you can for any kind of dealings, and avoid Discord altogether and use an MM service to help keep you safe.

Important Note: If a reputable EpicNPC user contacts you directly on Discord about a post on EpicNPC, be extremely cautious here! Most scammers will do this to attempt to set up deals and take your items or money all the while impersonating trusted users.
