First i'd like to apologize if i posted this in the wrong place.

I am trying to gain rep and all that good stuff which means im trying to trade my account. my main worry is that if all the information is exchanged, how can i prevent the other person from being able to call blizz and get the account back? i mean is there any other way besides making another account and xfering the toon? i just dont have that kind of money.

Thanks for your input.

You cant change the name on an account, the only way you can make an account you trade for 100% safe is if you transfer it off to a fresh new account.

THis is what I sugjest to all new people. Trade with soemoen that is either TWV or has a high amount of rep. It lowers your chances by ATLEAST 90% that you are going to get scammed

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with a blizzard authenticator, can't someone call in who knows the full name and SQ/A still get the account back (and so could you, so it would be constantly back and forth until it gets locked, at which point the OO has to submit info with a notary sig)?

ok ok thats pretty cool, but the bad thing about that is: what if a scammer got ahold of your account? and put that on there. wouldnt that prevent you from getting your account back?

People can still call in and reverse the xfer.

yeah but to call in and reverse the xfer you would have to be OO and they require an ID as well for it last i checked.

I hate to tell you there is no 100 safe way to...If you transfer to your own account...They just call in there old one with all the info and report it and get a toon restore and ban on you account ( I had to do it before to scammers so im 100% sure on this). Also they put a authenticator on it. Again you turn in the info to the Origanl account proving your the realy owner. Guess what Blizz returns it and disactivates the authenticator. (Again 100% sure Had it happen). So the moral of the storie is If you trade for a account make sure the other person is a 100% Ligit. If there the Realy 00 and have ID to prove it there is no way to provent them from geting it back if they want 100%.

Again I have Exp with all this [censored] so any one trying to argue the point try it out.

They do require an ID, but it is not without its limitations as I'm certain there are scammers who are, indeed, proficient with Photoshop. </div></div>

yes then the real OO will recall. blizzard will ask for a NOTARIZED ID which means you will have to go to a notary office (w.e its called) and they will make a copy see that you are the person that is the "owner" of the ID. they will stamp the copy of the ID. then you will have to send blizzard that. notary stamps cant be Photoshoped

here are what notary stamps look like

or

they have signatures/office addresses

honestly...only like 1 out of 100 scammers MIGHT go that far. seeing that most of them are fukc heads
