Hello,

Scammer's Name: Septio
Nature of Fraud/Scam: Scammer bought my Overwatch Beta Account for $550, but after I sent him the account information he just went offline and never paid.
Estimated Value Lost: ~550-750$
Timeline Description:

I added him over Skype (I don't care if you guys say that it wasn't him because I asked him to confirm his identity in a private message on EpicNPC which he did!)
proof:

After that he asked me if it's fine now. I agreed because at this point I thought that even if he says "oh someone hacked my forum account blabla" later on, that It's his fault if he gets hacked and that anyone could say that he got hacked or whatever and that it's absolutely random to get "hacked" and that the hacker does all that... I mean come on, thats school children thinking, so this excuse won't work for me because it's simple to check the IP address of the person who was logged in to the EpicNPC account "Septio" So any excuse he might think of wouldn't work in any court or anywhere.

Here he is trying to think of excuses why the payment takes too long, at this point i am still logged in but he's changing info at this moment:http://abload.de/img/421-22qsox.jpg

at this moment he is offline and I realize that he scammed me. Lucklily he didn't change the password of the email account I created for the deal so I went to the trash bin of this email account and I see how he deleted all the emails tracing to him: http://abload.de/img/765zesww.jpg
Here you can see that he changed the email to something with "a***"

I hope that the owners of EpicNPC can help me get the IP, Name and Address of Septio, I'm 100% sure that he created the "scam Skype account" himself and that he will say that it wasn't him, but I know that it was him. How else could he have confirmed his identity in Skype + EpicNPC at the same time if he had no access to the forum account. Since this website is logging IP Addresses, the only thing that has to be done is to check who was logged into the account "Septio" at the time I got the PN and that's it. This is not a 20$ gamekey guys, this money here helps me survive another whole month in my miserable uni at workdays+hard work on weekends life.

I have an excellent legal costs insurance so I will do everything possible to achieve justice.

Another question though: I wrote to Blizzard support of course, telling them that I got hacked and sending them all relevant account information. What do you think, how realistic is it that Blizzard will help me?

//edit so I just thought about all possible combinations and if Septio is going to say that a random guy contacted him and asked him to verify himself then my question is, why would he talk to someone who fakes his name LOL? And if he says that the guy contacted him from another Skype account (yeah sure he uses 5 skype accounts at the same time) then I want this skypename and screenshots of the conversation with visible timestamps etc.
It's not that hard to trace the IP of a skype account, and it's the thing I will do first ofc
Even though I am 100% sure that it was Septio himself, whoever did this I hope you will need the money for cancer treatment :)

Blizzard has the best customer support. They will help you out for sure. If you are original owner of the account, you will be able to easily recall it.

Also, you were dealing with an impersonator.

Of course it's not his real Skype account (which i only realized after it was too late obviously)
But he has to defend himself anyway, including answering the questions of the scenario I thought of in my last edit

Also @ViperOne: what is your opinion on my chances of getting my account back from Blizzard support?

Before we form any opinion here as Darvin93 stated he is an imposter. I will not add to this until a S-Mod or our Admins get involved.

Sorry we wrote at the same time...

Well my opinion is that he is the one impersonating an impersonator of himself!
And if not, he has to explain how and why he sent me the same code in Skype and via PN, who told him to send it, does he have screenshots of this conversation?

And what should be my next steps as I'm not sure what to do now?

//edit: I have to go to sleep now since its almost 3am in Europe, I just hope that Blizzard will help me and that I get answers until tomorrow
goodnight and thanks for your fast answers guys

So it was 6 hrs from the time of first contact to his reply.

It has already been proven the person on Skype has a different username. This could have been a double-sided scam.

While the scammer was talking to you, the scammer could have had a 2nd Skype impersonating you (imtemplain) to Septio.

The scammer could have just asked Septio to send a PM to the real imtemplain, which he did. imtemplain, you then receive the code thinking it was the real Septio.

At this time I don't see the real Septio being involved. Moving to Off-Site Scammers forum. Always check skype usernames.
