I agree that nobody will pay that sort of amount now, which is why we must educate players on the real value before selling. If we continue to perceive them as low value, then the value will always remain low. This isn't commerce. It's just an online thrift shop instead. It's no different when you're trying to negotiate for higher pay with your employer after every salary review. You need to prove to them you're worth the pay raise, then they'll match it for you or you just switch jobs because they are being stingy-ass cheap pricks.
If you keep selling yourself short like that, you suffer and the entire MSL market suffers you see. Nobody really wins other than the person buying your account.
It'll take time for the value to continue to build up. So it's our job here as veteran players to show buyers the true values of our hard work.
Not easy at all farming an account till lv51. You burn your mobile, your burn your PC. There's also your electricity. Not to mention your time.
And all you're getting is 45USD?
C'mon lol. We can all do better for ourselves. It takes you like what, half a year to get to 51?
That's so much time. Even if you're just spending 20 min a day finishing dailies, if you multiply that by 365, assuming you gets 8USD/hr, that's close to 1k USD per year. Divide that by half, that's 500USD/bi-annum.
Don't you want to get compensated for that? If I work my butt off for a project, damn straight I'm gonna ask for it. It's only fair.
It's the same here for MSL. Doing MSL daily is a lot of work.
My goal here is to slowly upscale the market through education. It's not gonna happen overnight. But it can happen overtime if everyone stops selling themselves short.
So what if MSL isn't the most popular game here? If it was really the case, we'd be trading PUBG exclusives instead here.
But we don't care about those games no matter how much money is there to make. We're just not invested in them.
That's the keyword here. Invested.
So... lets just focus on growing the MSL market?
Worst case scenario, 4:33 will hunt down our IP's and terminate all the accounts involved here.
Best case, that never happens, and even if we can sell any account to 50% of whatever value I've compiled, I think it's a pretty good market for everyone to trade in already. The sellers are well-compensated in exchange for their time and their accounts will be given to people who actually value the transaction. Not "oh, that 45USD account."
If everyone knew you could make good money selling MSL accounts, would more people play MSL? Would the market be more saturated with good deals?
Yes.
