The forum's search engine received an major update today from the default VBulletin search to Sphinx Search. The default VB search was never made to be efficient for large databases and starts to break down at around 1 million posts. As we are well over 4 million posts, an upgrade has been long over due.
I'm sure many of you have received database errors over the last few months. These errors were mainly caused by searches that took to long or too many searches at the same time. Because searches have become so inefficient, the entire forum has seen a slow down in page load speed.
Sphinx search will solve all this. Not only will searches be faster now, server load will be lessened which in turn will make the entire forum faster. Not only will members see improved performance in the site and search, but members can now search their inbox messages as well.
As before there is a 60 minute delay from when a new post is made to when it will become searchable.
Please let me know if you experience any problems. Enjoy.

New Features:
- Private Message search
- Search now includes EVERYTHING - The search box searches more than just post title and text now. It searches everything. Member username, email, Skype, MSN, AIM, Yahoo and signature.
- Example: If you search for "razor" and someone used the email [email protected] for their account, that user will be listed in the search results.
- The search will not reveal any private info. In the above example, the user's email won't be displayed anywhere.
