What was scammed?: I was paid $420 for my account last night, and when I logged onto Paypal to check if it was indeed a scam, the money was held.
Link of trade thread: The auction was ended when sold.
Approximate value of scammed property: $420.00 USD

Describe how you were scammed: This person emailed me and was interested in the account, and everything seemed legitimate. So after he got the account info and I got the money I went to sleep, and beacuse I was slightly skeptical I checked Paypal this morning, and there you go. It was a scam. He cancelled the payment, or whatever a few hours after he got the account.

Other proof: Well, in this whole process I did notice he had three different names of Joubard Josiane, Stefan Reinl, and Samy Dahmas.

I can not obtain the final couple emails, but what happened was I did let him on the account to see if the info worked. He logged off, I changed the password, then he transferred me the $420, then I gave him all the info. Everything seemed fine at the time.

Banned - multiple accounts - scammer

This guy just hit me up for a Craigslist add and well I looked up his e-mail and found this post. If you have yet to get your money back hit me up on aim - jokerslye I can walk you through the process of getting scammed and ways to prevent other scammers.

For starters anytime someone is interested always look up their e-mail address and name on google or whatever search engine and obviously if something comes up from them scamming well don't waste your time. Then the next step would be to see how eager the buyer is with wanting your account for instance I had a guy ask me how much I wanted and he then said 800$ that immediately is a red flag because there aren't many accounts out there worth 800$ plus someone offering so high without anything haggling on the price is an automatic scammer or they're just blowing smoke up your ***.

If the buyer insists that he is a verified paypal and only has paypal and not Ebay well he is indeed a scammer as well because everyone has an Ebay account and you can easily scam with just paypal because all they do is send the money on paypal from a computer that they never use so when they do send the payment from a different Computer aka IP Address well then as soon as it's sent they can open a claim saying that had no knowledge of this transaction. Then well you just gave out all your info and now your fkd and have to spend a couple of hours with blizzard.

The way to prevent this if you do get scammed is well only give them the name and password and once either the 60 days is up on paypal so they can't take it back or if they file a claim and then end it then your safe or what I do is I make them go on Ebay and buy it now and then once I get the payment I wait till I receive positive feedback and then I send them a piece of paper in the mail to the mailing address listed with the information. You can also insure it to make sure if they do scam you it;s insured for the amount you sold it so If the scammer later changes his mind and some how gets ebay to screw you over well you can get a hold of the mailing company and tell them the package you sent was damaged on its way back and still get your money.


But generally the best way is to look up their e-mail on google and then myspace and facebook if they don't have a myspace or facebook and the name is simple well its probably a scam but if something does come up its generally a real person . Post it up on Ebay first and let them buy it now and send you the money and leave positive feedback and then send the info through the mail to the address this is the safest way and if anyone ever fights oh I don't use Ebay , Paypal is just fine eh don't waste your time.
