Provide information about the dispute and what lead to it: Bought a Defiance account on May 11th 2013.
After purchase, the account worked for a brief period, then I was unable to access the account.

A few weeks after, he started another thread with a comparable account which he claimed was not the same.

Other details / notes: Provided me with information that did not add up, presumably because he still wanted to resell the Defiance account. Did not receive followup on the ticket he said he created.

I will make a ticket for you mate I know they have up security since you cant even change email on there site anymore you have to get Customer Service to do it and they do ownership checks. Funny this should happen actually I know some people who sold there Rift accounts and they were locked last week. Think Trion might be wise to the ease of trading now and bumping security kinda like Guild Wars 2 and NcSoft do.

So I actually did a live chat just yesterday and the account was actually suspended/banned due to IP address patern change. They seem to be cracking down on both Defiance and Rift account sales probably because they brought this whole new free to play buisness out yesterday. I have requested the account be restored and have sent them as much information as I could have again waiting for them to get back to me with the response.

Trion does use coinlock, however, it will send a mail to the registered owner to reset the IP address.
Upon login, it would show an error message indicating the account is coinlocked.

I asked for an update on 06-21-2013, 01:19 AM and 07-01-2013, 10:21 PM, no answer received.

I didn't receive a PM from him in weeks, however today when I rated him with negative feedback, he was able to respond in 10 minutes, he gave me a feedback and replied on his iTrader Profile. He didn't bother to send me a mail directly.

Proof: If your Defiance account gets banned, also for this, there is a specific error message at login.

Yes both advertisements he has posted have Similarities. But you have confirmed it is actully banned, i presume its not locked for safty but banned for good? as for Trion, i personally have traded a defiance account, from the UK to the US, he still has the account and happy with it. so i can imagine its been with more then one pair of hands? which means the account could of been flagged to begin with before the trade.

Correct, all communication went through PMs on the forum. Only payment went through Paypal, but that isn't communication. I can post the Paypal transfer on request.

I can not confirm if the account he posted for the 2nd time is the same account. I can confirm that there is an error code upon login that states you are banned (I've been temporarily banned on Defiance on my own account for using the weapon skill/damage hack when I used cheatengine). His error message upon login states an incorrect user ID or password, not that his account has been banned.

I do not have a screenshot of the conversation in live chat, everything went through PM in EPICNPC. There has not been a live chat I can screenshot.


I would also like to add, did you get all information? all 3 Q/As and did you change the email to yours or was it the Email you also got with the trade?

I purchased a secondary account (not from Crueltys) via EPICNPC not long after this incident and I still use it with great pleasure. I did not change the account information in that account, nor did I do it with this account I bought.

I had to read your first post and it clicked which I'm sorry I missed. The Trion system locks out the account with an unknown IP until it is confirmed by the registered email? Which means my own question had been answered. You did not get all info when traded.


Cruelty shall be contacted soon to hear his side of the story. Just trying to get the full clear story from your side and proof. For example it sounds like you had after this trade was the login and password.

No, I did not say I confirmed that the account had been banned because of IP changes. That is what Crueltys is stating. I said that when you get a (temporary or perma)ban, it shows at your login screen.

Yes, if you check the PM communication between me and Crueltys, there is no proof that the account has been banned (temporary or permanent), sent by the trader.

Going back to that last question because I feel it was not answered so I will ask it this way. Do you have the email linked to that account? You will always have an email from Trion saying that the account is indeed banned. And normally a reason.

Which means you could screenshot here and show us. And you never got any of the SQ/As? Because that is vital like any online account.

I did not change the email of the account. In my experience, if you buy an account and a scammer wants to revoke the rights, all it needs is a petition or customer support ticket.

The current information on the account is still the original email as when Crueltys sold the account. The information that was given was only the email ID login and password of the account.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments, I will be more then happy to clarify.

I did tweak my post above which you may of missed. And sorry for the misunderstanding as it was a copy and paste it made things abit confusing.

It is not clearly stated in his first ad for the account I bought. However in response to my warning in his 2nd trading ad, this is what he replied:

Account is not the same just similar since we both played together and grinded together. Rep is different and weapons levelled are different. Either way will get it sorted when you reply with info.
