Other information: The scammer first contacted me on jorji.jorji9 (skype), but then I asked him to get on the skype which was linked to his vertified EPICNPC account and he went on that skype account - on which we did the transaction through.

What is the dispute about? The scammer was selling me a WoW private server account (Warmane - Lordaeron) with a shaman on it. I sent him money via Paypal and he immediately blocked/removed me on Skype.

Approximate value of property: $70.00 USD
Was a middleman used? No, he refused to use a middleman because it would "hurt his reputation" as he was hosting a middleman service himself. I went along unknowingly.

Provide information about the dispute and what lead to it: I contacted the scammer via Skype and he gave me information about a totally nonexistent account (on warmane-lordaeron). Everything with respect to the account sounded good so I inquired about the price which was also good. Then, I made him message me on this website and I received a PM afterwards here. I also made him use the skype associated with his EPICNPC account which he also did. Since his account is verified and everything, I went ahead and asked him if I could use a middleman just to be safe. He adamantly declined and said he would not do the deal with a middleman because it would "hurt his reputation" since he was hosting a middleman service as well apparently. Anyways, I budged and went ahead with the transaction. He asked me to send $70.00 USD via Paypal using the gift method (to friends and family). After I sent the amount, he immediately started deleting his skype messages and then blocked/ignored my subsequent messages. I filed an official case with Paypal and he lose the case so I got the money back but I'm not going to let him off easy without any admin action. I have screenshots of the deleted messages with timestamps, the paypal transaction, his PM on this website, and his Skype information.

So first the scammer gives me information about the WoW account including character gear etc. Everything sounds good so I reply with "okay great" and "whats yor paypal". He sends me his paypal address. I then ask him the amount. He tells me $70.00. I then say "ok i Sent" after I send the money via Paypal. *****Note the timestamps, this correlates exactly with the time of the paypal transaction*****. Then he sends a message saying something like "let me check if I received it". Then afterwards, he immediately deletes his messages on skype and removes/blocks me on Skype. I try to contact him later but he completely ignores me. Afterwards, I contact paypal and open an official dispute case which goes in my favor fortunately.
