Haven't purchased gold or anything for GW2, but I've been reading on how gold has been removed from accounts lately by Anet.

Was wondering what the risk is for buying legendaries, if anyone has any experience in that.

Sorry if this is the wrong spot, didn't see a GW2 general spot.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS/QUESTIONS
I'll keep an eye on your weekly sales thing then

With the "no spaming" thing I mean don't buy 2 in the same day. Get 1, then wait 2 or 3 days, get another one, etc...

But there is no limit on how many legendarys (or any item) you can buy 100% safe, don't worry about the quantity. I have a guild mate that just bough all legendary weapons and he is just fine :P

Another tip: tell to your seller to not just send the item, tell him to writte a message to look totally natural. Like if your seller is a rich friend of one of your friends and you just recieved a gif from him, or like if you won a contest, etc... After get your item you should send him a message like "holy **** so many thanks!!! Seriously I love you! xD"

Honestly is not neccesary to be this much careful because Arenanet will never notice if you recieved a legendary in the mail anyway. But I dunno, since being cautious is free why not :P

Edit:

I will re-open my shop for custom orders in August, but this week I will put a Legendary weapon in the WEEKLY SALES section :P
Not sure about which one yet

Thanks, I'll probably buy another in a while. Maybe try out a different seller.

Open your shop already!

edit:

what do you mean by spamming? like spamming in game messages or buying a lot of legendaries?

:)

Told you. Arenanet don't track the items sent via ingame mail :P. They only track the gold and if the seller is not proffesional, the trade can be a risk :(

But about items, im 100% sure that as long as you send them 1 by 1 and not spaming, is totally safe. I have sold already 12 legendarys and 2 precursors, neither my buyers or myself got any problems :P. I'm sure about no seller/buyer got problems while trading with an item never.

Enjoy your legendary! ^_^

So here's my big wrap up:

The gold was taken pretty quickly, within an hour. The items were taken also pretty quickly, but the seller also included gold for some reason (?) so this may be the reason why. I did it again with one bigger item and that was never taken.

I decided to bite the bullet and risk it and got a legendary from EpicNPC seller Allrighty. It went pretty smooth and the item hasn't been taken yet.

So all in all? Probably safe to buy gold from people who don't do it so mindlessly, I'll try to buy some gold again from a smaller buyer later. But it's pretty safe to buy an item (not sure about multiple items), including a legendary.

Yeah I'm waiting a little bit, just got word some guy didn't want to buy an item cause his **** was taken. Figured I'd wait and do the same.

While I'm waiting, lemme ask to everyone who's purchased a legendary: is it worth it? Did you regret it afterwards or do you enjoy it? The prices don't seem to be an issue, but I'm just wondering if anyone's regretted it.

Same to my accounts~ got 2 main ones~10k and 15k achievement that i play them daily and used these ones for stuffs~so far so good with sales , but i have my limits also on myself and trades.I would be more sorry losing an account than instead of a fricking Eternity or something.Rather be safe than sorry.

Anyway be cool for a while with trades.

With all of the reviews he had I figured he had a good account. The name wasn't a random mess either, it was a name I'd figure a friend or guild mate would use. But maybe I was wrong.

I spent under 20 on the experiment so it was little loss. I'm doing another though, buying a single item rather than a bunch of dyes for cheap. Let's see if that gets taken.

Since my english is not exactly very good, I'm not sure if you understood me before at previous messages :( but as I said, you and the seller, BOTH, must own a non-supicius account.

For example the accounts I use for selling are 10.000 AP, thousands of hours played with the same IP allways, a lot of ingame mail sents, etc.

If you buy from a guy who has a noob account and also several accounts, thats supicius. But any proffesional seller will use those for selling.

Im sorry about your money lose :(

Ah I see. I'll have to try that next time. All he did was mail it.

I've had the account for years, so it wasn't new.

AYe i see, this is yep from the Arena net .Probably something went wrong ~ as the one u bought them either traded to much lately with cash or something .

Anyway u should be a good boy and stay low for a while, without buying anything(1 month or 2 dunno), if u care about your account.Because usually Arenanet more than likely has a Blacklist, and you must be on it :D.BTw how manny achivement points u got on acc, is it new or something?

OR when u really want something , try to have a conversation and have the guy who sends u the stuff in friendslist or something similar for more than a few days, and for ex: after u beg him or something for u get an XXX thing.

There you go, it's the same response I saw from others when I did my research.

IF u received the email ~ from arena net ~ they should have as of the sender in mail the red Tag under the mail ~THis mail has been sent by AreneNet etc.And depends if the guy who sent u those things had an 3rd account , with shitty few hours to play , with few achievement points~that might be suspicious.

But usually Arenanet doesnt send emails, they punish u by banning u for a couple of hours , depends what u do etc, disables your account, removes the stuff cash when they think somebody got hacked or something like that, in the time he was hacked from my knowledge.

Show us the emails print screens if u can, cover your infos don't forget that>>>>photoshop.

Decided to run a test on this and purchased a relatively cheap item and 100g from a person in good standing with a ton of great reviews.

Got 2 emails within an hour and a half saying that they were both confiscated. Did Anet change recently?

Follow up question if anyone is still reading this:

A lot of people who sell legendaries and gold sell the legendaries higher than they're worth (4000g vs a 4000g priced legendary, 4000g is cheaper), why is that?

It's a shame he's out of stock at the moment, would love to buy some.

Banned - TG 136324 dispute
I can vouch for Vatrono too.
I bought multiple precursors and legendaries off of him and it's all good :)

As long as you get the item there is nothing to worry about :)

So if I were to buy one from playerauctions or wherever, I'm considered good as long as the item is in my possession? No worries otherwise?

No, they didnt remove any of the items i have sold. I mean, they never removed any sold item from any seller. They just can't track the ingame mail items :P

To make it clear: Buying a Legendary is 100% safe from the game perspective. The only risk you will have to face it is that you must find a trusted seller. But as I stated before, there are many trusted sellers in here :) Also you allways can use the Middleman service, that way you don't even have to find a high rep seller.

Not too worried bout being banned, saw that they don't ban buyers much.

Was mostly worried bout the items being removed. The items you've sold haven't been removed?

Hi there.

Right now Arenanet only tracks the gold in the ingame mail. Anyway, is still safe to buy gold if your account and the seller account (both) have more than a few months since its creation. But for sure you must buy with brain and never do somthing like, for example, buying 10k gold at once.

Anyway, Arenanet has stated at official forums that they will never ever ban a player for buying gold, because they said "buyers want to interact with the game, sellers don't". Arenanet ban sellers and not buyers these days. The worst thing that can happens to you is Arenanet deleting your bough gold and as I said if the seller is proffesional and trusted (like egpal for example, there are a lot of great sellers) he will allways takes all the care so that wont happen to you.

About items. Selling/buying items is 100% safe since Arenanet DOES NOT track ingame mail items. Thats the reason why I sell legendaries/precursor instead of gold, because I prefere safer deals to protect both: my accounts and my buyer's account.
