For security reasons we have disabled thread replies for non-Verified members.

Buyers looking to purchase an item or if they have questions for the seller, they can click the 'Chat' button to contact them directly.

The reason for this change is because over the last month or so the majority of posts being made in threads were made by scam accounts. This creates unwanted spam for sellers who receive watch list notifications only to see a scam post or nothing if the post was already removed by a mod. The sellers were also often being impersonated to target potential buyers who previously posted.

This does not affect feedback and feedback replies.

It would be nice if that user group (unverified) had a notification that there is an option to use chat only until it is verified. So that there is no confusion that only verified can buy.

I'm not sure a notification is needed. The chat button displays in every thread. If a member browsing around clicks that, it will start a chat.

Maybe we need to make the chat button stand out more to make it more obvious.
