What is the advantage of posting an account on the forums to sell compared to using the auction system? Other than the obvious price difference? What additional protections are you guaranteed?

I would PM Mike (MMOBay.net) about this. All of us are quite new to the system so you wouldn't get as accurate and educated of an answer from us.

There are no added protections in the forums compared to the main site. The main difference between the two is the price and on the forums we do not review new accounts. Using the auction site is safer as we manually review every new account within 24 hrs and are able to catch scammers before they do anything, where as on the forums they are banner after they do something. However on the forums there are many TrustWho Verified users, which is similar to our review system on the main site, except here it is optional.

I have sold hundreds of accounts on the auction site and have had 0 problems with scammers so I can vouch for the security measures they have in place

I guess the differance is really up to you, Like selling to a pro buyer for less money or trading an account off for a differant class/whatever the forum allows you to post your account up and ask exactly what you want whereas the accual site sells the account at an auction price thing. Nither is better or worse, just differant
