Question regarding gmail lock out

Hi,

I am planning to sell game accounts in the future and they are linked to gmail, I found out that google could lock you out of gmail if they detected a suspicious activity. My concern is, once I gave the buyer the gmail, google might detect that the gmail has been accessed by a new device(buyer's). I dont know if google considers that as a "suspicious activity", but if it is then google could lock them out . Is that possible to happen?


the gmails dont have recovery email or mobile number set up.

if you never setup recovery email or mobile number from the beginning

when your buyer try login for first time, and detected as suspicious activity, they will asked to add number to get verification

and after that, for more safety, ask your buyer to purchase anything on the game or purchase 1$ apps on that gmail account

save down the information like the date of purchase and method for the payment

and if you remember when you create the gmail, it will be better

if in future got locked, as long you have those information, you always can unlock the gmail again by go to their live chat, they will take you as the original owner as long you have the history of transaction on their platform

you can just tell that you are on vacation to other country or another reasonable excuse

ah i see. So to clarify. When the buyer login for the first time, google will NOT lock them out. Instead, they will ask to add a mobile number for verification, is that right?

yes, google won't immediately lock your gmail account

it will try to verify if the one that try to login is the owner

it may ask you to add mobile number for verification

or it will ask you to verify using your current device that already logged into the gmail account (example : tap yes and number "x" on your device samsung s9)
