question on 'multiple accounts' list in epicnpc profiles

Hello,

I see that one of the reasons for a 'multiple accounts' list is to protect against banned people or scammers trying to get in, or VPNs being detected etc.

Is there any other reason? When I searched this forum, it looks like epicnpc doesn't conventionally allow multiple accounts. So it's just for logging purposes, even if the person were to be cleared/found to not be in violation of any TOS or rules for epicnpc?

Its not allowed to have multiple accounts, so its a list of all the others you try to make. Make more then a few its permenant ban. Its an easy way to track that. Its also an easier way to track some ones aliases. This helps find people who evade the tracking with certain key similarities or so they cannot say they arent someone.

Members who buy the pro seller upgrade are allowed to have 2 multiple accounts that they could use simultaneously. So that list is useful to know their other identities. Very few actually use this feature though.
For everyone else, multiple accounts are not allowed and they will be disabled, so for them it's basically just a log. Members are not punished for creating up to 2 multiple accounts, as long as the reason wasn't ban or feedback evasion, but more than that can result in a permanent ban.
