Scenario

Original Owner = A
Buyer = B

Email changed to B

Original Owner recovers account via recovery forms via Battle.net

Question : Does the buyer B still get an email on his B account that email has been changed or any type of notification?

One of my customers got a email from Blizzard saying "blah blah activity" on the account they require forms filled out and want Picture ID sent to them in order to unlock the account.

So I am trying to figure out if original owner tried to reclaim and if he did. Did blizzard also send an email to the Buyers account saying info has been changed?

Because buyer(B) is claiming he received no email or notification just something saying to provide them with proof / forms / Picture Id.

Thanks

The e-mail only goes to the registered email on the account.

I recently recovered 2 of my account from 2009 and the email went to my registered email and not to my original email.

So if he recovered, the email would go to whatever email is on the account when recovered.

So I wanna be 100% correct.

Lets say I am original owner Email : [email protected]

I sell the account Email is now changed to : [email protected]

I as original owner recovers the account. Do I get any notification or a email on [email protected]
or
Does it just go straight to [email protected] and "[email protected] is just Ninja vanished"

Just trying to be 100% sure because the person I sold the account to claims they did not receive anything what so ever from Blizzard. They just completely lost access to the account.

It depends on the e-mail on the account, so if he recovered then his e-mail would be the registered email meaning it would go to him only and not the previously registered e-mail.

I've been getting back my old WoW accounts the last few days that i stopped playing in 2009, so i've been dealing alot with blizzard support. It all depends who takes care of the issue.

Normally if you are recovery an account the recovery goes to the e-mail that is recovering the account, in this case [email protected]

[email protected] would not receive an e-mail because his e-mail is no longer registered to that account.

HOWEVER---- After the recovery was complete and the email was sent to [email protected] saying you've recovered the account, the [email protected] would receive an email saying "Your account has recently been recovered, if this was not you please contact blizzard support"

The above only happens if the original owner does a normal recovery, if the original owner did a "My account was hacked" recovery then [email protected] would get nothing as blizzard assumes he hacked the account.

Hope this helps
