question about pro seller

Not Recently Bumped
Lets look at the benefits.

Allowed 2 additional forum accounts - If you are a business with employees, this is great.
Threads appear on the homepage - amazing advertising bonus here.
Username is highlighted yellow - This in it self is a level of advertising.
Access to reverse IP search - If you have a site you can refer back here to see if a buyer has account here to verify identity or identify in disputes
Allowed 1 affiliate/referral thread - Good for extra profits.
Can access canned replies system. - Mild benefit for quick responses
Less forum ads - Who does not want less ads.

So right of the bat you have a lot more advertising from being a proseller. The yellow color it self stands out and many users only deal with pro sellers for currency and accounts. Its a major level of trust, that someone is willing to invest in their account here. Why? Because you have to earn back what ever you spent and shows you are into growing your business. You have to spend to make money, plain and simple. Not saying you have to spend money here to make money here, but you know what I mean. You have to invest in yourself/business in order to grow.
I do not have a figure for this but I can see it watching activity streams, posts and feedbacks.

A proseller would have to chime in give their side of experience.

thanks for the reply doom and the benefits do seem great. i just wanted to see what other sellers had to say about the rank. also unrelated but i really like this site and how its laid out, stuff was a bit confusing but im starting to get it.

From the comments I received from Pro Sellers over the years, they main reason why most upgrade is to get the yellow username or to be able to registered multiple accounts for their partner or employees.

The other perks are nice also. Threads on the homepage is a recent addition, but the two I mentioned above are the main reasons.

I like Pro Seller myself; and I've always liked extra badges (wish I still had my top rated seller and power seller status icons on my eBay account; those are judged monthly).

In terms of returns on investment, I would definitely say it worked for me, though it is not so easy a number to calculate - you'll just have to pay attention. What drives any market is supply and demand in the end; so just having Pro Seller will not guarantee you endless sales - you will still have to offer goods and services on a level that can compete.

What Pro Seller does do very well is it gives a buyer an instant (or quicker) sense of safety and trust. And sometimes that's all you need to make a sale.

Oh, and by the way doomed/Epic: I purchased the second to highest tier Pro Seller I believe. Once the term ends, may I pay the difference to acquire the highest one? :) :) :) :)
