If i was to add one to an account would this account be secure or are these things a joke and a waste of money. I read somewhere that you can call blizzard and have the authenticator taken off an account. If that is the case couldent someone who new all the other info just call blizz and say they lost the Authenticator and take the account back? If anyone has any first hand exp with these please let me know.

From my experiences with talking to Blizzard about this is that the ONLY way for someone to remove a Blizz authenticator from your account would require them to have the serial key on the back of the actual Authenticator. Unless they robbed you in real life and stole your Authenticator then your golden.

I just purchased 2 of these things, waiting on them to arrive.

I have a hard time believing blizzard would be that short sighted, can anyone confirm?

This is the same Blizzard we are talking about right, do you really need confirmation?.

You don't have to believe me, but I had a convo with a Blizzard Rep. about this and he said the ONLY way to take the authenticator off of the account is to have the serial number on the back. So I don't know, just trying to help. Call and ask for yourselves.
