Question about accounts getting banned for account selling TOS violation

There's no set way on how those are handled. It would be on a case by case basis.

Buyer could have done things that increase the risk, such as making purchases right after buying, contacting support, trying to get important info such as account country changed etc. Different platforms have different rules, levels of strictness, ban lengths when that happens. There are just too many factors that could affect the verdict.

Most likely it would be shared responsibility, since both trades are aware that account trading is against the platform's rules. And depending on the above factors, the ratio of responsibility would be shifted.

And if the account was sold before, no problems have been had regarding account trading for an extended period of time, but got banned after being sold to the third owner? It doesn't seem right that the seller does everything well and correct and has to take partial responsibility, as the buyer can control how safely they handle the account, by, for example, not touching it for two weeks or something, using a VPN, and everything else you've mentioned.

It would be decided on a case by case basis. Sometimes accounts are recalled by the seller, but banned for "account selling" so we would have to investigate. There is no default rule for this type of ban.

Keep in mind we do not investigate disputes unless Trade Guardian (TG) is used. The seller and buyer assume all responsibility if you go offsite or conduct business outside of our TG services.
