Possibly scammed while buying account, now what?

I purchased an account last night via PayPal, all the information checked out and the buyer changed the email address to mine.

However I neglected to verify the SQA (I know, very foolish on my part, this was my first account purchase and I neglected to do this).

Immediately after receiving the payment from me he thanked me and logged off, I didn't think much of it because it was after 2am EST.

Needless to say I have now taken the time to create a checklist for every account I purchase, and consider this a learning experience.

But how should I handle this? Should I immediately file a claim with PayPal and get my money back and then return the account to the seller?

Should I continue trying to contact the seller and give him the benefit of the doubt that he accidentally gave me an incorrect SQA (the email was changed to my email address and he hasn't recalled the account yet)? Or should I take action now and assume that he is going to call Blizzard on Monday to have the account email changed back to his?

How do I file a claim to be sure that they will rule in my favor?

Thanks in advance.

Hey--

Basically your completely safe in the sense that you will get your money back from paypal since he doesnt have a tracking number to prove that you received the product. So as long as you create a claim within 30 days I believe.

As for him giving you the wrong SQA, maybe he is scamming you, maybe he didnt want to give you the real one and figured you wouldnt find out, or maybe he traded for the account earlier and the OO gave him the wrong SQA and he never knew. Basically, if I were you i would assume he is scamming you until you reach him and varify the new SQA he gives you. However, it doesnt make much sense to scam you using paypal since you will win the claim anyways....

Id take all his gold and boe products and send it to a toon off the account. If he scams you then Hey you get your money back and his gold. If he turns out legit, just send the stuff back to yourself.

"He was supposed to send me a used Nintendo Wii, but he is hanging up the phone on me now when I ask him for tracking information."

If you have anything about warcraft mentioned in the payment subject you lost the dispute, so go check what was in the original payment you sent.

Also, I would wait a few days and try to contact him, to give him a chance and to make your story sound better with paypal.

Basically if he gave you a wrong SQA your account has no resale value, and blizzard changes passwords randomly sometimes, so you are screwed if they do it to you. I have lost accounts like that.
