Well, Looks Like scammers are going on a POSING Spree!
In this post I will give/say ways to prevent from posers trying to scam you!
And Yes For the Record, Myself and MODS have said these type of things Countless times!
Potential Signs of a Scammer:
1. Pushy & In a hurry
2. Reluctant to info swap (Phone, Name, Address)
3. Want to Try before Buy! (Delete, DE, Scam 95% of the time)
4. Markee Rep Poser (Easy to catch)
5. Plenty More! (Add to the list)
Always Watch for Red flags of Any type!
Also We have a Growth in the last week alone of Poser Scams!
By Poser i mean One whom acts like the guy with good rep (when in fact is not)
To Prevent this type of scam is real simple!
a. Do a Markee Search for that Aim name (the aim the poser is talking on)
b. Search the Markee name given (Check recent posts & old to Verify aim names)
c. If the Aims Different Contact The aim Name that is Under the Profile of the Actual Markee User for clarification!
d. Ask the Poser to Post in your Topic!
c. Ask the poser to pm you on markee (pm= private message)
You will be surprised how how quick they will leave!
Heres the perfect example of a poser :
Aim User: loveoneall70
Contacts me about my lock for sale. Claimed to be:
Markee Name: xythor
xythor aim name under posts: Guild Wars Sucks
The rest you will see how i handled it!
