It's a legit site but I've heard some horror stories with payments being held by sellers. They're kind of like a middleman who holds and dispurses the money once goods are delivered. I don't recommend using them but to each their own.

Yeah, as Akane said, sometimes the website (middleman) put a hold on the money for 'x' reason and you have to fight with their uneducated customer service who can only understand the most basic of english. Buyers tend to trust it due to the automated middleman thingy and as a seller I had no issues in the end with them.

Used them since 2001. I never had an issue with disbursement of payment. However, they have been very very annoying in terms of identification with buyers (w/ large payments) in terms of photo ID, etc... Also, they have THE worst customer service I have ever seen and there fees are very high.

I don't recommend them anymore and I will never go through their ID process (It feels like the government but much worst).

I had my horror stories with them. Most issues were just late dispursements. Some payments went into infinite loop. And as said earlier their customer service is horribly uneducated and "transfer you" to another department that never ever answers you. Ban appeals for offsite trading are impossible unless you want to pay $500.00 to skip appeals.

Just personally, FFXI accounts sold on there are not sold with all pertinent information to secure the account. The website has a basic list, some points of which are not even relevant to FFXI accounts being secured. (in particular the need for the SE Q/A) I have never used the site for that very reason.

My experience with them as a seller :

Might be wrong but I think its the first website i saw without a preview button when creating the thread (maybe its just me, dunno :P)

As a new seller u basicaly have no chance getting into the market (if the market is already old and populated) : There is no sticky, no bumps, just some pay to win featured seller which seems to have some requirements aswell.

The standard forum filter is by "most seller reviews" so u can imagine as a new seller u have no chance getting a spot on that front page (trust me its small chances anyone will bother to search in that particular page using another filter)

U cannot just use the usual font codes/layouts copy pasted from other websites and just adapt to their layout, they have their own stuff...

When adding images its absolutely awful, u gotta upload the images to their gallery which bugs alot

When selling accounts they ask for alot of questions they shouldnt normally do

Customer support is awful aswell, takes too long to get the information u ask for...

I dont even want to get into their fees, which are just ridiculous :)

I know they seem to be very safe from the buyers perspective with that guardian stuff, but for me, i just dont like all the stuff i mentioned above.

Most of the time ppl contact me via their PM system, i send them here for rep check and then we deal directly, with skype support.

As a conclusion, i prefer to stay away from PAs system as much as possible :)

Worst customer support ever and ridiculous fees, that's what made me stop using them even though I was generating a good amount of sales.

I had a tiny issue with a buyer who claimed the service he purchased was never delivered. I provided extensive evidence proving it was in fact delivered; it took 3 weeks to get it resolved.

I don't even want to know how much longer it would have taken if it was a bigger issue.

used them a few times when selling accounts in the past and never had a problem. their fees can be annoying though

I've used the site a couple times. Sold D3 Gold a while back when that was still a thing, I've sold couple accounts and purchased couple accounts as well.

I can confirm that that site is legit and their online chat people are usually fast at responding, to buy or sell from that site requires you to give them ID and all that though.

I've been using the website for almost 2 years now. I can confirm that they're legit and quick response from their 24/7 live chat support. Most of the customer support that would answer you though doesn't have much knowledge or is using scripted responses over your questions. Their hands are mostly tied to just forwarding the problems to the corresponding departments such as Finance, Compliance team etc.

They don't reimburse during the weekends or chinese holidays. But I can vouch for their legitimacy.

Fees ranges from 13% - 15% for their middleman services. (too high imho)

If you decide to upgrade your account for faster disubrsements, you'd have to pay different fees.

I reg to this forum just to tell u this.... i wouldnt recomend them. long time ago i used them and they wanted to buy my acc. I sent screenshots they asked and let the guy log in to the acc. Deal went smooth, i got money to my paypal but a week later they requested refund stating something on acc was not as shown! He checked acc himself and got everything screenshoted what HE requested. Boom they always get a refund so i had my paypal balance in -65$.

I've used the site in the past without any complications. However, if you're concerned about it still perhaps simply keep sales within EpicNPC. Screenshots of correspondence and any other related material to a sale can help a great deal. Lastly be sure to create a disclaimer or conditions the buyer agrees to upon payment of your Paypal invoice to further help protect yourself as a seller.

stuff can go wrong with player auctions when you sell on there, for example i had to fight with their support to keep my money cause a user was trying to blame me for a community ban they themselves got, they harassed Valve Employees so ofc they will get banned.

I'd stay away from it if you can. In my experience with PA, they're more of a middleman and cannot guarantee a chargeback wont happen or that the seller wont recall an account. It's safer in my opinion to buy from someone here and just get all information from them just incase something happens. I've had accounts recalled previously that I purchased from Player Auctions, but that's just my experience. It's worked as well but overall I stay away.

Some scammers on PA, but PA itself is a scam, at least I found out that it was, I almost lost 200 bucks on PA because of their customer support and dumb payment validating , they held 210$ away from my bank account, as paid and closed my offer, so the buyer never received a notification that I bought and PA kept the money.

I contacted my bank and PA, threatened them file a report against them and everything possible to get back that money, they understood after the 10th ticket and refunded me. it literally took 12 days to get refunded.

never going to use PA again as a buyer or a seller.

This is how PlayerAuctions works with their clients:

PlayerAuctions can I get some response please?!

Get a response under normal means? Good luck.

But honestly open a dispute against them here and you will get a quick response or resolution.

Why would they care about responding to disputes here?

I bought several hundred dollars worth of Path of Exile currency from PlayerAuctions.com over the last few months. The last time I used it, they held my payment and required photo ID & online banking page showing transaction, etc. I sent both but they still wanted more since my credit card doesn't show the complete transaction online in real time as it's still buggy (Amazon.ca Rewards Visa). Then they asked for a landline phone number (I only have cell phone, no landline it's 2017 already!). Very annoying had to use another credit card while keeping the seller waiting.

I'm here now hoping for a smoother experience on this forum.

Situations like yours are the reason why PA will ultimately die out. The only reason it still exists is because it was the first major site of its type.

For Poe currency, you should have used another site anyway - PA only really excelled in the area of account transactions.

player auctions does not excel in currency due to its fees. Its hard enough to make a profit with people always looking to undercut and have best prices, when theres hefty fees.

Thanks, I learned that now.

I am wondering though just out of curiosity. How safe is it to sell an account or item and not have buyer chargeback? I have been using eBay for buying/selling since 1997 (20 years!) and it's aweful not being able to do anything to avoid Paypal buyer charge reversal (which is why virtual goods are not allowed on eBay). How is it different on other sites like this forum and PlayerAuctions? What happens if buyer does chargeback/Paypal dispute?

For starters, you can check:

If you're willing to limit your customer base, you can transact only with credits or bitcoin, which can't be chargedback and also puts EpicNPC in charge of arbitration in the event of a dispute, which will always lead to fairer results than Paypal (which usually screws you over). You can also use "alternative" methods depending on the game you're selling for.

You can also try selling to only Epic+ members since they are less likely to scam, though you can also get screwed over if they scamquit or get hacked.

Didn't trade at PA for over 8 years, now decided to return... and realized that I don't understand / remember three important details.
 1. Does PA messaging system produce any sound notifications? I've enabled autoplay, notifications and pop-up windows for PA site in site info permissions (Firefox), yet when someone sends me a message, there are no any sounds, so it's quite easy to miss.
 2. Funpay, g2* and etc online trading platforms have seller online status indicator (which is green when seller is online, grey when offline). Does PA have anything like this? I mean, as a buyer, how do you know that order which assumes delivery in 20 mins is not posted by someone who is sleeping right now? Likewise, as a seller, how do you inform buyers that you are afk shopping / bath / whatever atm? Just closing browser doesn't seem to change anything.
 3. Fees page says that you are charged 10% + $1 per each game currency sale, but I was charged $6 per $33.6 sale. How the heck is it calculated? Or fees were increased lately, so fees page is obsolete now?

Do not use them I bought a account on there they locked my account and held my funds for 30 days because my wife used her card and they freaked out thinking it was fraud we both uploaded ID and proof of address along with a bank statement they still held our funds up for a month as a seller it’s worse someone can buy an account from you and a few days later say it got hacked and you lose your money there overall terrible people

Not the best marketplace for sellers. Transaction fees are too high!
Plus, I have to mention that they ask for too much information from the buyers such as ID, a picture of you holding your ID, credit card picture etc.

It's pain, cringe, and hilarious at the same time when reading this and realizing that something stays the same after 5 years past, such as "customer service" Big LOL :ROFLMAO:

Since the subforums I'm active on are full of copycats selling characters (yeah I'm the ORIGINAL character seller, way back March 2017), I gave them PA a try. I stopped with my registration over there because they're asking for REAL names and addresses. As my personal rule on the internet is to NEVER, EVER give your real life details. That's why I love EpicNPC because they do not ask for real life info and been grateful over the years here.

Customers on PA are being asked to provide ID too , why is that an issue for you?

The info you provide can narrow passwords or can be used to hack accounts (socmed, etc). Aren't your real-life info somehow connected to your passwords? I admit a part of my name I scramble and use on some of my passwords.

PA are the final boss of horrible customer service for both buyers and sellers. God forbid anyone has to open a ticket through there unless they're only looking for a laugh (or migraine).

Agreed, their customer service is poor.
