They reserve the right to withhold your transaction anytime they want and demand an ID scan. The ID scan MUST include all of your personal information except your FULL SSN. Until they receive this ID scan, they will suspend the transaction, HOLDING YOUR MONEY and NOT delivering the goods until you give them the ID scan.

This is bull****.

hehe, I have 2x 2000+ 100% feedback accounts banned on Playerauctions for not paying $5000+ in fees when I had 500 or so auctions list on their front page $50/auction featured section because of a bug in their site. Oh well...

The main issue with PlayerAuctions is that amount of fraud that goes to that site. They say they control it with their PlayerGuardian system which is totally bogus and false advertising. Instead people turn around and make a quick buck selling to them knowing that in reality the company is based in China and can't do anything about it.

My final transaction with them was with a customer who offered 30 day protection. After about 12 days the account was recalled and I requested assistance from PlayerAuctions in fixing the issue. After filling out the form, and answering a couple other long e-mails, they never got back with me after countless e-mails in resolving the issue. I assumed they just kept the money and never released it to the buyer.

The company to me is clearly shady, has proven to be ripping off people, and being that they are based in China, there is little you can do about it (The California Address is just a registered office (Cost $100 a year) but it's not where they do business).

That's great but I never said I was getting paid, I was stating that I purchased an item that was taken back and they never reimbursed me for the item. What you said only states that PlayerAuctions makes payouts which is something I never argued that they didn't do. My problem is that the buyers are the ones who get screwed.

I like how you assume I am using a stolen PayPal Account.

What you said is just complete slander there as you can't back up anything you said with any facts. I might as well say you're using stolen PayPal Accounts to make purchases on MMOBAY. It's not much different from what you said.

and account your story is bull to because they take the money out what you get when you sell account or

There is no reason for me to make this up. If you don't believe, that is up to you.

Your sentence doesn't make sense by the way.

product quit thinking your cool I bet this op is using a stolen paypal

I think you're talking about yourself here.

I bought a level 83 priest off of PlayerAuctions. A week later, the guy has claimed it back.

He is now selling it again.

PlayerAuctions ****ing sucks ***. They won't even do anything about it.

Which is exactly what I was trying to point out above.

D0ntxbotherme
on the other hand thinks you're a liar because PlayerAuctions is scam free according to him.

This is where I had trouble understanding your story. You bought an account that had 30 day protection. The account was recalled and you filled out forms. When you say "buyer" in the last sentence is that you?

Are you talking about an item or an account now?

They charge a lot of fees,
Secure Order Processing Fee rose up from 9.99% + $1.99 to 14.99%+$1.99

Their fees aren't that bad. I can't speak for everyone, but I would gladly pay at least 5% so they wouldn't have to deal with a PayPal dispute or chargeback. I suspect At 10% fee, I'd say 30-50% of all sellers would still do it. At 15% fee, they'd still get 10-25% of the users who probably have no idea how to verify a buyer and would get scammed.

I haven't heard any reports about scamming if you're trading in-game items and like the security measures put in place for that.

However there are many reports about buyers not being compensated for account recalls. So if you bought from PA and got your money back after an account recall, I'd like to hear your story about how they do their investigation.

I'm obviously way late to this thread but I figured I would post since I found it.

The day after I made my account I got charged upwards of 300$ from random 3rd party billing companies so not only are the sellers on the site not trustworthy but those who work / manage the site are not either.

Ive lost two accounts to PA and their 'guaranteed' safe ****.

I lost an account through PA, I paid over $100 for an account which was reclaimed by the owner 2 months later and nothing can be done, I could not recover it because guess what? the CD key was fake. As a middle man service PA was supposed to verify that the CD key was genuine in my opinion, the burden of proof falls on the buyer, yes they want me to prove it was reclaimed and the publisher will not give out info about accounts. They say on their website that if you lose an account or can't recover it as a result of the seller then they give credit, I think having been given a fake cd key qualifies but they don't think so apparently. All they can tell me is you should have bought insurance and sorry for the inconvenience, I really don't see where the protection is. I've learned my lesson and I hope you guys learn from this too. PA if you had good intentions, I'm sorry but I did get scammed by a seller via your service.

I've sold a few accounts on there, only thing I don't like is the 10% I lose on a sale. As far as id, I white out the personal info, and put squigglies around my eyes :P. they use the info to recover accounts from blizz so people cant get owned if the seller tries to recall. tho I never bother selling accounts with battle net. just to much security and links info id rather not have someone else having.

too add, think epicnpc lot better, person to person without the middle man is a little more risk but get better deals here. just to bad I cant transfer my rep.
