I don't know if this is the correct forum to post this in, so I apologize in advance if I got the wrong forum.


I was wondering if anyone here has any experience positive or negative using Playerauctions.com? They have gurantees that all accounts are posted as secure, will refund your money if anything goes wrong, and your account will never be reclaimed or frozen...and of course they act as the middle man between the buyer and seller, but as they say, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

So if anyone can inform me if this site is legit or not i'll be greatly in your debt.

Do not touch these guys. They wasted 2 days first telling me there was a problem at my end, and to check Paypal/bank. Then admitting it was their problem, and asking me to cancel and resubmit.

Then finally I get a call from 1am from a barely audible Indian callcentre asking me for my passport ! Would you send a goldseller your passport - seriously ! When I refused the muppets then deleted my account for policy violation. Too late to sort everything out, I lost the deal there

Did I mention the waste of time in getting 3 other ID validations (phonex2, plus validated Paypal) and the fact they insist on passport ID, don’t accept credit cards (I assume someone else doesn’t trust them!), and call you at stupid times with ridiculous requests.

Two days of hell. Dont even think of going there, ever.

I've used them numerous times as well with little to no trouble at all. I've bought/sold accounts over that site for about 4 years now, and the only problems I ever received was before they made the transition into becoming a middle man.

If you're interested in purchasing an account from them, basically the money you send goes to them, and from them to the seller. But before it goes to the seller, they verify account information and ask you to do the same, when you verify that everything is correct they release the money to the seller.

You also have the option of buying insurance on the account, and if something ever does happen to the account, they check it out and offer you credit on their site for the amount you paid.

PlayerAuctions is only good if you really have no experience. Otherwise, for security, is it better to talk and meet the person before you buy. PlayerAuctions shields that from you so you could be buying from someone who is from China, or underaged.

Before I've heard that buyers were getting little help from PA after their account was recalled. I don't know if that's the case now.

You are kidding right?

The number of scammers on mmobay is just insane. Too many sellers who recall accounts and too many buyers who reclaim payment through Paypal.

After having being scammed 3 times I have given up on mmobay and will only use PlayerAuctions for selling accounts.
