Wish I knew about this site earlier. Didn't know how retarded paypal has gotten.

Anyway, tried to sell the account, sent me the money via paypal, I gave account info, next day he said it was unauthorized. I simply told paypal that I sold him intangible goods and had no shipping address. I assumed they'd drop it because they don't protect untangible goods on either end. I was wrong.

So paypal gives me three options... 1) pay the guy back. 2) prove I already payed him back. 3) provide tracking info.

I got my wow account back pretty fast and everything was recovered. I have 2 aim names, 3 emails (1 of them the paypal email), and the first 4 and last 4 of his visa number he used to activate the subscription number on my account.

Googled all of it but no tangible info. If I were to send paypal the first 4 and last 4 of his credit card number and it matched the paypal account ... would that be proof the paypal account is his and it wasn't unauthorized or would paypal just keep saying [censored] the seller?

I just checked the name of the person the paypal account was under and white pages has a single name in the whole U.S. down in Florida.

The guy spoke perfect english over AIM during the 'sale'. I am wondering if the paypal account is his mom's and this could become interesting.

If you got your account back, let it be.

There are 100's of that same type of person scamming people every day.

Learn from this, and move on.

The police etc will not bang on his door for this kind of stuff, unless you have video proof of him doing it. Aim names/ Emails /paypals are not enough proof, becuase he could claim they got "stolen" from him.

Anyways, let it go.
