So I bought a paladin yesterday and my seller chose to withhold the account information until the money clears to his bank. He sounded very legitimate so I agreed.

1) How high does the risk of a scam run in this situation?
2) How long does this take(did this last night)?

Cheers

1) It's a very high risk, he can cancel the payment at any time.
2) It takes about 5-7 business days for an e-check to clear, and then your safe.

You are so dumb, E-Checks are just like payments, the only way to 'cancel' them is to file a dispute. I send them all the time, since you can't instantly transfer money from your bank to your paypal in Canada.

If you let him clear the money in his bank, and you file a dispute and he looses Paypal WILL NOT width drawl the payment from his bank. So basically he will be in negative balance, and you will not receive any money.

Paypal will either try and width drawl the money from 'his' bank, it could just be a fake bank to get verified. Or Paypal will sell the negative balance to debt collectors which will try and contact him.
