Hello everyone !
I recently sold wow gold in the amount of 120 USD, but the buyer was able to return the payment. now on my paypal negative balance. how to protect yourself from this ?

With Paypal you should use Family & Friends, however even with that it's still not 100% protected. There's really no way to fully protect against chargebacks with Paypal.

Hey @Tradder77

Like EpicNPC said you can ask your customers in the future to pay via "Friends & Family" on PayPal, if no option comes up ask them to not select the "Buyer Protection" and that will mark the transaction as Friends & Family and make it harder to dispute or recover funds. You can tell a payment is Friends & Family if you do not pay fees and when no shipping information attached to the transaction.

I would suggest using Bitcoin if you are looking for a full-proof way to avoid disputes or chargebacks.

Otherwise Western Union is a good choice in my opinion as they provide security features that help make disputing payment safer for sellers as a police report has to be filed in many cases.

Gift cards are also not a bad option in a lot of ways as many companies will not always remove the money from the card even if the purchase is chargebacked. Keep in mind, this would not apply with all companies and most gaming marketplaces don't honour this.

If you don't pay negative balance, PayPal will terminate your account and will try to send agency collectors based on documents you've sent to them.

Do not even try to convince them, you will fast procedure for termination.

It’s probably best to pay the balance off if you plan to keep using PayPal and don’t want to deal with the fallout. Most likely will result in a closed account if the amount is low and written off.

In user's location even if is large amount, it's impossible to reach him.

For USA, with 120$ they still will send your information to debt collection agencies because of their automated system to handle debts.
