For the record. To get rid of any thought of seller protection you may think you have with paypal, as far as selling anything Digital.

You have none. Zero.

If the "item" is intangible. You have no protection. It does not matter if you have them send as a gift. Send as a gift with a note "Forfeiting" buyers protection. Does not matter if you have AIM logs. Does not matter if they send you an e-mail from the paypal address stating whatever.

If you sell something that is digital, the person can dispute the transaction and have their money back within an hour. Sellers+Digital = No leg to stand on.

When trading, I suggest you use reputable members. If not, I suggest you use western union.

I've met a problem before, buyer filed a dispute claiming "item not received", paypal deducted the money from my paypal account, and i said "This order is an On-line Virtual Items Trade of Internet Game" in the "Resolution Center", 20 days later, paypal sent an email to me stating "According to User Agreement, PayPal's Buyer Complaint rules apply only to the delivery of goods, not services or intangible goods. Therefore, we can not take any action complaint. We recommend that you consult directly with buyers to resolve this problem.", i won the case and got the money back. Maybe i was just lucky

I guess so.. They told me to **** myself.

One great solution to all of this... You have the person send you the money as a payment for information on a piece of paper. That information being the SQA to the account. You mail that over with a tracking # and PayPal can do nothing but leave you in peace with the knowledge that you did indeed ship something that was agreed upon prior to the transaction.

Western Union is still one of my favorites though. You can fake a PayPal identity, but you sure as hell can't fake your ID and location without someone in the process taking notice, especially on the bank's side.
