yea, I do not mind the adds at the top / sides since they do not make it harder to read or navigate a thread. This however bothers me.

Simple fix is to make a new usergroup called Power Users that can pay something like $10-$20 to support the site and all ads will be removed. Give them some extra benefits and restrict it to TWV only.
Professional Sellers should be exempt from the new ads.

What a thing to complain about. Mike is providing these forums free of charge and a couple links have you all hot and bothered? If he wanted to, I imagine he could have gone a lot further with the ads and probably made more money in doing so, but also spammed the forums. Instead he kept it very small and clean.
Complaining about a few lines of text in a thread (on a free forum) is an incredible overreaction and just makes you look silly/ungrateful. :/

You guys shouldn't think of MMOBay as a community, because thats not its main goal. If anything you guys are just hanging out here because you have nothing better to do, really this should be treated more like a place of business. Not trying to offend anyone, but community people really contribute nothing to the site and think they're owed something when they really aren't. Its like hanging out in front of a store with your friends and you aren't buying something from them.

in all honesty, the ads are not a big deal. ask yourself this:
Just because of a SIMPLE change we have members that are reacting as if Mike made the forums usable only if we pay monthly. This is not the case obviously, but if you think about it, there are much more demanding issues that we should be causing a fuss about, not something as menial as 3 adds.
Honestly its like the people that try to go on strike against the oil and gas industry by walking to work, all because gas went from .99 cents/ gallon to $1.00 /gallon.

cheats is a troll who lives on top the bridge for 1 week a month.... he gets so pissy and can't even stand his normal place once a month.. it's funny though.. cause he QQ'd that i got a mage he wanted and nerd raged on me. and then got pissy again when i sold it for a nice profit... ever since then.. he seems to leak a very salty type of watery substance from the corner of his eyes... while he has been away i have put 10$ into a interest giving bank account so we can buy him a triple box pack of Kleenex with aloe tissues =]
