New Escrow Service Launched - Automated Middleman System

This is a fully automated system that uses Epicnpc credits to provide a new layer of protection to both buyers and sellers.

The concept is very straight forward. The buyer or seller can simply create an escrow transaction, the buyer will then deposit credits to Epicnpc and once they confirm the item has been received, the credits will be released to the seller.

If at any point there is a problem with the item or account delivery, the transaction can be reported and Epicnpc will investigate. The credits will be returned or released to the rightful owner.

This system provides complete payment protection. You can be 100% confident that you will either get your item or you will receive your credits back. No longer will you have to file a dispute with Paypal or other payment systems hoping that they decide in your favor.

Will there be an option in the future to convert credits into real money (at least for credits bought with payment processors other than paypal)?
What happens when someone buys credits via paypal, completes an escrow transaction, and then disputes on paypal?

Well upgraded members can only by credits as a safety. Its not perfect but something. I do not think you would be held accountable for someone elses actions. maybe if there was a pattern of it.

Only Verified and Pro Sellers can use Paypal to purchase credits. The credits will not be removed if a dispute is opened against us for the payment, so the credits are 100% protected. Credits can only be purchased using Bitcoin for all other membership levels and Bitcoin payments can't be disputed, so there is no risk with using credits.

At this time we have no plans to "cash out" credits for real money, but this has not been ruled out in a future update.

Since there will probably be more credit purchases now, how about some other ways to spend the credits? Maybe add more items to the shop?
Some new perks, like bump timer for a particular thread from 6h to 3h, or account-wide to 4h, new thread upgrades like borders, highlighting and more title colors. Or the one that I suggested to you a month ago, to have a MM thread in a game forum.

Yes. Regular credit transfers have a 3% fee. Using the Escrow service has a 4% fee, so it's very cheap to use.

We will be integrating credits throughout the site in the upcoming months, although not for account upgrades. When someone upgrades we want to see their Paypal email info for verification purposes.

What if you can only pay for upgrades once/only if you are verified member? Similar to credit purchase, in the beginning only can buy credits via bitcoin and once verified with Paypal also.

That would complicate things for very little benefit.

Most people purchase the life-time upgrades , so they only have to upgrade once anyway.

Ok, but Paypal payment is needed only for "Verified" upgrade? If this is correct then all the other ones could be bought for credits also and "Verified" upgrade restricted to Paypal only. I think that "Epic" upgrade would be pretty popular purchase for credits.

We do not do the verification and the company will not accept epic credits. So then theres an extra cost to the site.

This sounds like a really cool idea, I however am curious to.
There is currently no way to transfer it to RL Cash, or
would people like sell X points and still go through paypal
or western union or w/e their particular case is and
still have the intended protection or is that the main
idea ?? Also is there a chance
of the prices bouncing if it is like that, like X points being
worth $1 on this day, but $0.75 the next ? Mainly I ask
that cause you do get them from posting or did, but either
way curious to see it working and used

At this time we do not plan to offer a cash out option to convert credits back to real money.

Credits are 125 for $1.00 and have remained this price since we've had them. The value of credits will never be changed.
