On June 4, 2014 I received negative feedback from the user Asty1984. This user clearly knew that his scheme would get my gold taken away from the game's company, leaving me (the buyer) short of $210 (2 payments of $175 and $35) for the gold and the money sent to the seller. When I tried to trade him an item in return for the gold to make it seem as though it wasn't a free gold trade, he would immediately cancel and replied back with "accept <.<".

I have contacted customer support from EME's TERA GM "Rayner" who advised me to reverse the payment (http://puu.sh/9EWuU). The GM also told me that the seller has been caught on more than one occasion and that all of the gold that has been removed from my account will not be returned. I have also learned that with this last transaction, the seller has been permanently IP banned from TERA and all En Masse Entertainment games. I have purchased gold on numerous occasions and under no circumstance would I ever reverse a payment. I felt cheated of my money.

I sent a total of $210 to this seller in the amounts of $175 and $35 (http://puu.sh/9EWFt and http://puu.sh/9EX3C.png). After only 2 days, I escalated the Paypal dispute to a claim (http://puu.sh/9EWKC.png), the seller did not even bother to respond.

Since then I have blocked the contact on Skype. I feel this negative feedback is unjust since I have done my part in paying for the gold. In the end, Paypal ruled in favor of the seller which is completely BS, considering the facts I've provided and the circumstances of the situation. This has left me short of 350k gold, $210 USD, and now negative feedback that may tarnish my reputation.

I would greatly appreciate if this negative feedback could be removed. If I need to provide more evidence, please let me know! Thank you so much.

Gold is a buy at your own risk item since no matter how safe the buyer and seller are there is a small chance the gold will be removed.

That said the seller is responsible for delivering the gold in a proven, safe manner. If it's delivered in an unsafe way and removed, the seller is responsible. From your comments above it seems this is what you are claiming, that the seller sent you the gold in an unsafe manner.

When I tried to trade him an item in return for the gold to make it seem as though it wasn't a free gold trade, he would immediately cancel and replied back with "accept <.<".
So basically the seller walked up to your ingame and handed you 350k gold? Do you have any way to prove the method of delivery?

In his feedback he said he gave you a TERA account to make up for the lost gold. Do you still have that account?

asty1984 has been notified.

The seller did exactly just that, although I did not think anything of it or that EME would even remove my gold. The trade contained 350,000 (in two separate trades of 50,000 and 300,000 both canceled when I put in a useless item in the trade window) gold along with a few items. TERA has trade logs for every character, however there is a glitch/bug that doesn't allow us to go past the first page of trades (17 trades per page), so I can't show the transaction unfortunately.

He has given me his account only because his account is IP banned. Proof of his IP ban: http://puu.sh/9HCsu and the GM's ban reason: http://puu.sh/9HCwG

I strongly feel that this is undeserved since I did my part as a buyer, trying to take necessary precautions as well. Hopefully this is resolved.

So the account hoangnguyen12989 is the account asty1984 gave you? When did he give you the account? When did it get banned?

Do you have any chat logs where you guys discuss how the gold will be delivered before meeting ingame?

Yes, the account [email protected] is the account he gave me. Shortly after I told him that all of my gold was missing, he told me his account was fine and not banned (http://puu.sh/9IhPc.png) on June 3, 2014 @ 10:29PM EST. I ended up checking the account less than an hour later when he provided the info to the account (http://puu.sh/9Ii1L.png) on June 3, 2014 @ 11:12PM EST only to find out it had been deactivated or blocked. I checked his account a few days later to find out that the block was escalated to an IP/permanent ban.

Even so, there is absolutely no compensation for myself as the buyer who has done nothing wrong in this case. The trade was just like any other trade -- gold traded over to me (that was the agreement). However, I'm not sure what the seller was trying to accomplish by not allowing me to trade an item to seem as though it wasn't a free gold trade.

The seller, 'An Nguyen' (http://puu.sh/9Iiwn.png) will probably not even respond to this thread or EpicNPC in general (only has 1 feedback which was from myself). The Skype doesn't seem to be his main account considering 1 contact is me, another being Skype Test Call, and possibly 2 potential buyers.

Hello there,

This is the true story.

I have quit the game for quite long time, about a year so i decided to sell too thing I have left, about 300k gold and my account. So i found this forum and have 2 topics that selling 300k gold for 210 usd and my account. Faithfully contacted me to buy my 300k gold and I agreed to sell to him 300k gold for 210usd + bonus 50k gold + items (worth of 100k gold more). He told me because i was a newbie in the forum that it's hard to trust me and I have to trade him the gold first that why i traded him first 50k gold and he paid me 35usd. However, his paypal is unverify and I decided not to keep trading. But he took lot of effort to convince me that he's not scammer. I trusted him and traded him the remain 300k gold, he paid me 175usd. the part "When I tried to trade him an item in return for the gold to make it seem as though it wasn't a free gold trade, he would immediately cancel and replied back with "accept <.<". " <-- It never happened. After the trade is done I traded him the remain item worth of 100k gold and even told him he would have my account if it's not sold after few days.

Day after, he got caught by the GMs and got his gold removed. Because I have never log in game after that trade I have no idea what have been happened. I tried alot to help him and even gave him my account and told him if after a day still cant get his gold back, I could share his lost and give him back 100usd (remember he still have my 100k worth of item remain).

and yet he has me blocked on skype and then dispute to paypal. I proved all the chat log on skype with him to paypal and screenshot of the trade. I won the claim easy and no hard feeling.

So tell me who's right and wrong here? This Faithfully guy is completely bull**** and all the other people trade with him should be aware.

This wasn't true :) u made up quite a nice story there no wonder you couldn't win the claim from paypal. I had george.ng18 from this forum who had around 20 positive feedback was also wanted to buy my gold but he told me to wait 2 days to have his money and he even told me to be safe at trade, i should just trade around 30k -50k gold each time. However, i couldn't wait 2 days that's why i sold to this faithfully guy and he told me he wanted to get all right away. He told he he has bought lot of gold in the past and no problem happened, once time it was around 500k gold.

Not true the first part ofcourse,

And yet I respond quickly to this case, why not?
I had one feedback because I'm the newbie, that's why I traded the item first to you and did all thing that you want in the trade ofcourse. Don't think you can fool me easy and get over with this because I'm new.
The skype is my main account, it has been there for 10 year and it has a lot more contact than just *you* lol..... and yet you are not in my list anymore, lucky :)
Even so, there is absolutely no compensation for myself as the buyer who has done nothing wrong in this case. lol @ the way you count. You paid me 210$ to buy 350k gold, ofcourse it would left you short of 210$. You still had remaining 100k gold worth of item and I was nice enough to give u an offer 100$ buck back and would done other thing to cover your loss like giving you my main account and other clone accounts which all worth bunch of $$$. But you did what? refused my kindness, unfriend me and dispute to paypal.

Left me short of 210$ and 450k gold and my account worth of 200$.

Paypal was fair enough to favor me. In the end, you lost 130$ worth and I lost my account 150$-200$. Isn't it fair?

The negative reputation suit u alot

This has left me short of 350k gold, $210 USD, and now negative feedback that may tarnish my reputation.

I would greatly appreciate if this negative feedback could be removed. If I need to provide more evidence, please let me know! Thank you so much.

Could you both post proof of how you handed the gold over? Be it safe or unsafe.

asty1984 - You need to prove that you handed it over using a safe method of gold trading. If you can provide that, that'll make the buyer responsible. If you can't, then you're responsible.

Faithfully - You need to prove that asty handed you the gold using an unsafe safe method . . .

This isn't about removing the negative feedback just at this time. It is finding who will be responsible.

Did you, Faithfully, pay the $210 to receive JUST the 350k gold?

Asty - Where's the 100k Gold worth of items coming in from? I thought it was just pure gold?

Unfortunately as I mentioned a few posts earlier, "TERA has trade logs for every character, however there is a glitch/bug that doesn't allow us to go past the first page of trades (17 trades per page), so I can't show the transaction unfortunately." I can't show the transaction.

If the seller can provide a screenshot of the trades, it will show exactly that he did not allow me to put in the useless item. Either way whether he provides the screenshot or not, he is still responsible. Like I said earlier, I have done 100% on my part as the buyer.

I have paid the seller (I even went first) $210 for 350,000 gold. His claim that he added 100k worth of items is too farfetched -- he added in little "goodies" that amounted to approx. 20-30k gold. The items were 9 chest sliders (about 1.5k each), approx. 7 height changers (about 2k each), 1 thigh changer (3k), along with a few membranes that only add up to MAXIMUM 15k. The prices haven't fluctuated from the time of the trade until now.

Faithfully paid $210 to receive 350k gold, that was the deal. However I gave him the bonus as I don't play the game anymore. That's how he got extra 100k worth of item or even more and ofcourse those items wasn't removed.

I don't know what kind of thing is safe method as I was selling gold in this game for the first time. I did ask him if it's free to trade like that, he told me it's fine as he has bought lot of gold before, once time it was 500k gold. The safe method i provided to him, gold + items and that wasn't look like gold buying right? I think I did good, as for him, if he has bought lot of gold before and he was still that careless then it was his responsible.

Really, It's really funny to see you keep lying.
First, I went first, not you. Dare you to show the screenshot of you that went first.
Second, You didn't put in any items or wanted to, you just want fast trade the whole of 350k gold.
Third, all items of I gave you worth around 150k if they were on trade broker.

Unfortunately as I mentioned a few posts earlier, "TERA has trade logs for every character, however there is a glitch/bug that doesn't allow us to go past the first page of trades (17 trades per page), so I can't show the transaction unfortunately." I can't show the transaction.

Did you tell him this in-game or out of game? If it was in Skype chat, please post a screenshot of the chat logs.

asty1984 you didn't deny the claim that you walked up to Faithfully in-game and just handed him 350k gold. It's not the buyers responsibility to transfer gold safely, so whether or not faithfully added an item to the trade window is irrelevant.

I've asked
lordangelo1019, a Super Moderator here and Tera gold seller, to comment on how he delivers gold to buyers ingame. From what I know of gold selling, trading a large sum of gold directly to another player is extremely unsafe, but I'll wait for lordangelo1019 to reply before making a final decision.

Anywayz, This guy Faithfully, if "removing the negative feedback" is just all he wants, he would have asked me. Because I have already won the claim from paypal. But he's ashamed of what he has done to me because I was so nice to him and he could still stab my back, disputed to get back all the money and walk away with the items+accounts.
Asked him if I did offer to give him back 100$ buck or not. But well he wanted all the 210$ buck back even though he still had my items and that's why he lost the claim.

- - - Updated - - -

I told him this on sky chat, I deleted all the chat log with him, u can ask him if it true :).

I denied the claim that I walked up to faithfully ingame and handed over 350k gold. I first gave him 50k gold, and he paid me 35$. He wanted me to trade over all the rest 300k gold. I asked him if it's safe, it would be safer if I give u little everyday. He said it's fine he have done many trade before, some in sum of 500k gold no problem. It was my first time selling tera gold, I did not have many experience, I only heard that story from other guy also wanted to buy my gold. The faifthfully guy suppose to have more experience but he wanted all the gold right away. That's why I gave him lot of bonus stuff worth around 100k gold along with the rest 300k to make it doesn't look like gold trading.

I don't care how the final decision will be because I already won the paypal claim. The problem is this guy suck. If he opened this thread before he disputed to paypal and talked nicer maybe he already got his negative reputation removed and 100$ and more. But no.
Did you tell him this in-game or out of game? If it was in Skype chat, please post a screenshot of the chat logs.

Irrelevant right now but I DISTINCTLY remember sorting out one (1) Crystalbind out of my stack of 60 to put in the trade window (worth a few gold; useless) as well as the response I received from the seller, "accept <.<". I never asked for any extra items, I simply paid for what I wanted -- 350k. Those extra items weren't worth much or enough to be a jaw-dropping bonus, so I don't understand what the point of bringing that up is for.

Having learned about this person and his guild , I realize that many of the members reside in Southeast Asia, where TERA NA servers don't even support. I think it's clear that the members show no remorse for what happens to their customers and are only out for the money.

Going back to JasonTran's post, "asty1984 - You need to prove that you handed it over using a safe method of gold trading. If you can provide that, that'll make the buyer responsible. If you can't, then you're responsible." if the seller can provide a screenshot then this will quickly be resolved. The screenshot would show clearly 100% who is at fault. So PLEASE, I am begging you, POST ONE UP.

You did ask if you buy all the gold, is there any bonus. And those bonus items made you drool over in the first place. You said them around 20k? List all of them here and ask people that's playing tera if it's not worth more than 100k. So stop lying.

Thanks for bringing up the whole guild and this doesn't help anything.

All I'm saying is that my method maybe wasn't 100% safety but it was because of you :). And I did safe method in my way, i didn't handle over to you just the whole 350k in one trade. And why do I have to post the screenshots? I don't have one :). And It's your fault

Banned - 3 seperate scam disputes : https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/1089213-Scammed-by-lordangelo1019
The one thing i see why the GM's caught you is the account was idle for 1 year then suddenly 50k and 300k gold was moved to someone else then 100k worth of items too. I know someone who moves his gold to his guildmates and others even greater than that huge amount of gold and they never do have a problem that is because it seems like its normal transactions, from 0 activity to big transactions thats instant red flag. You made it seem like it was a hack attempt. the account was wiped clean of the worthy stuff you have.

@asty1984 where did you give all this gold? The GM wont just ban you for gold transactions like this. You have to prove your gold is even safe to sell. And why are you such in a hurry to sell all your stuff and account all of a sudden. Last arguement the fact that someone told you to trade only 30k -50k for it to be safer why didnt you do that? You knew the fact that you account was idle GM's will notice it.

Not even one proof. Please show me all skype conversation either pm me. *screeshots*

I thought it was a normal transactions too, it was just like i log on to give my friend stuffs since I have already quit. Why don't u think the reason the GM caught us, that's the buyer moved to this server not for long and in his old server, he already had "buying gold" record as he told me.

The gold is safe for sale. I had around 1.5m gold before i went inactive, I gave to friends in guild and put in guild bank around 700-800k gold or more. I didn't think of selling gold before, only had this idea after checking the gold selling website. Note* The gold I have given to my friends never be removed. I wasn't such in a hurry to sell all of my stuff and account.

I didn't do it because I had no experience about this thing, I asked him if we should do it that way. He refused, he said it's safe because he has done it before as i mentioned. And I didn't know any "face" u mentioned because as I said, I'm new to this thing.

not even one proof because this thing has happened for a while and I didn't keep any proof as I already won the paypal claim. I deleted everything, until I was invited to this thread and see how suck this guy is

lordangelo1019 stated that the delivery method used is considered safe, however since the account was inactive for so long and was basically stripped of all value in 1 day, TERA support probably banned it and removed the gold because they though something fishy was going on.

Because the delivery method was considered safe, Faithfully does not have the right to a refund. However I changed his feedback to neutral because he didn't get his money back and it's understandable why he would dispute the payment.

That said, Faithfully does have the right to give asty1984 a negative feedback if he wants. The reason being is because it does seem likely the gold was removed due to the fact the account was inactive for so long then all gold and items were removed in 1 day. There is no way Faithfully could have known this.

asty1984 can choose to issue a refund or partial refund since Faithfully still got some items that weren't removed to avoid the negative feedback, but asty1984 won't be banned if he doesnt.

my account wasn't stripped of all value in 1 day. I still had lot o stuffs + 50k gold left. I even told him, he would have the rest 50k gold if he get me a buyer for my account.

he got the negative feedback because of the dispute, i was offering him stuffs + 100$ buck back. Where is his right to dispute all the money back since he still got around my 100k gold worth of stuff in his hand?

Faithfully knew that, Since the beginning, I already told him I have been inactive for around almost a year and he was the one rush the trade.

If he opened this topic before he disputed, he would have got 100$ buck and stuffs to cover his loss as I mentioned to him. But no, he doesn't deserved it. And If I get any negative feedback, you guys can just ban my account. Because the final decision suck :)

As I said you're not required to give a refund, however the buyer has the right to give you a negative feedback because the gold he purchased from you was removed.

Normally a negative would not be allowed if the delivery method used was proven to be safe, as it was in this case, however due to the fact your account was inactive for as long as it was and because most of the valuable items and gold were removed all at once, I think lordangelo1019 is correct in his assumption and it flagged your account.

This is why the gold was removed and why your account was banned. If your account wasn't banned, I would have said it was just bad luck
Faithfully got caught. However since your account was banned, it seems likely it was the cause of the gold being removed.

The total value was $210 for 300k gold. You're saying
Faithfully got 100k gold in items as a bonus, he's saying about 30k, so I'll split the difference and we'll say he got 60k gold in items. I think a $100 partial refund was fair, if Faithfully wants to rethink his decision and accept it, then we can agree that no negative feedback will be given. If he decides not to take the $100, then he can leave a negative if he wants.
