Where do i go from there, do I just wait for the process? And what happens with other payment types is it only open to bitpay and PayPal?

Yes, for upgrades you just have to wait, but it's already been added

Discord impersonations are very common and there's not much we can do about them.

If someone is impersonating you, you can add a warning message to your profile page. Only upgrade members can add custom messages and you can see mine here.

It seems the person was trying to scam $3 BTC like it is a big deal lol.

As soon as I mentioned to comment my thread, they pretty much blocked me. Contacted me saying they would have to be paid and "contact moderators" gave it away xD
