Mistaken multiple accounts

I had sold my old WoW account before and have recently started helping my old guildmate and friend advertise his. He made a new account and posted a thread using mine as a template of sorts, but it must have looked too similar because his account was closed, saying it belonged to me.

If moderators can view users' IP when posting, there should be a good discrepancy between the accounts, since he is in Canada and I am in the U.S. Otherwise, is there anything I can do to resolve this?

My apologies, I should mention his account is "dk42".

you logged into both accounts from the same computer, so we closed the DK42 account. Have him re-register, but don't do it from your computer, otherwise we will get another alert.

Ah, thanks. I had never logged into his dk42 account though, it should have only been from his computer. I am currently on my computer, but it looks like the system is associating his identity with my account.

Just to clarify, if he registers again, the only difference will be that he won't be logging on my account at similar times. Will this be enough?
